it's about time the poor get more to survive then they have a chance at paying market rent and having a more stable life to be able to enter the workforce, as it stands now the amount they give the poor is only enough to afford rooming houses. Its the poor who spend more than the rich back into the economy.

I'm all for it providing ALL of the welfare "industry" is abolished-federal, provincial and municipal. However, since there is no chance in hell that the governments will cut that deep, I am completely and totally against the basic income program. We can afford one, but not both.

Democrat President Lyndon Johnson's War on Poverty started in the 1960's. The result is more poor people now than ever. Let's learn a lesson from the mistakes of others. Or, the same will happen to Canada as it is already happening now.
