For a dose of Chinese beauties ....
The other end of the spectrum of hobbying in HK is quite different from the Toronto experience and even if it might only be remotely relevant to Terb readers it would still be an interesting read.
The 141 site lists all relevant statistics and as had been commented before B&S is not an issue there, due to the nature of the process as described below. For my venture I picked the one building that had listed over 40 SP's. Briefly, the building has about 12 floors, with each partitioned into 7 or 8 apartments. All units are almost identical, with the essentials : bed, shower, mirror, small bar fridge, TV, AND ANOTHER closed-circuit 4-quadrant monitor of the activities outside, half-dimmed pinkish lighting, and everything was clean and organized though not extravagant, . This level of professional management was quite comforting to me, knowing that, even though the stairs and hallways were somewhat desolate, I would be in no danger of being mugged or beaten up. In fact, the chance of that was rendered even more remote with the heavy traffic going through the building. Every floor seemed to have 3 or 4 "brothers" trying to ring up SPs whose door did not have the "Please Do Not Disturb" sign flipped over. Awkwardness did not seem to be a big concern, and in fact there seemed to be a sense of pervasive camaraderie. The attitude seems to be that the hobby has gotten to a healthy level of balanced supply and demand. And what supply. I followed a couple of "brothers" as they rang the bells and chatted with the girls, and were pleasantly amazed at the quality available for the fees (about 70 Cdn). The demand was also an eye-opener. Outside one door stood the three of us, listening to the groaning and moaning inside for over half an hour. Door opened and the lucky brother left with a grin on his face, and the three of us raised our hands and yelled, "Pick Me ! Pick Me! ". You really need a sense of humor to hobby here.
Oh how I look forward to my next trip there !
