She says the documentation will be “essential” to have as the province emerges from the pandemic.
Ontario has said it could start receiving doses of the vaccine in the coming weeks and plans to offer it first to vulnerable seniors and health care workers.
The province has also said it will be prioritizing the rollout of the vaccine in regions with the highest rates of COVID-19 infection.

Except the fact it's illegal to request medical info in ON
Same reason a non-dr can't demand your health card as ID (unless you offer it 1st)

Either way, you are looking into 2022 at this point for these kind of fairy tails
The vast majority of population would REQUIRE to be immunized 1st and we will not even have that much vaccine by Sept 2021

I suspect the article is on FOREIGN travelers (eg USA tourists) to prove they had a needle
Otherwise Ford would drive a nail into the coffin of business and be out on his ass

Here are the Privacy Laws for ON Health
Good luck getting those overturned in 6 months

This will be how it works at the US/CA border, I'm sure. Some Karen or Ken will try to pitch a fit and get about a six hour time out. Some people you really don't want to mess with...

This

I am thinking it will be for early access while borders are not fully opened

Its the only thing that makes sense because at the border you have no rights

Those laws pertain to the sharing of your info by healthcare professionals; that is not what is being proposed.

In the law under consideration, nobody is sharing your info against your wishes. However, if you want to attend a restaurant, concert, etc. you would need to provide proof that you have been vaccinated. It’s up to you; if you don’t want to share this info then you don’t have to- it just means you can’t attend public events.

If I run a restaurant I can insist that you wear a shirt and shoes or else I won’t serve you. Insisting that my patrons are free of a life-threatening illness seems entirely reasonable.

So...to all of the covidiots who insist that they have a right not to wear a mask and that anyone who doesn’t like it should just stay home: time to put the shoe on the other foot. If you don’t want to get the vaccine then YOU can be the one to stay at home!

Beautiful.

If you run an agency or an SC, you would want your staff to be virus free so they don't kill all or most of your clients. Dead clients don't generate revenue (i.e. money).

Meanwhile, that Andrea Horwath is really pissing me off. She thinks all 38mm Canadians should have been vaccinated 6 months ago.

To paraphrase Rod Stewart:
Some girls have all the luck
Some girls do nothing but complain

Question for Knuckle Ball:
Surely if you run a restaurant, you would not object if your female customers don't wear a shirt or anything else? LOL

If you READ those laws pertain to the sharing / storage of your info as well
A non-doctor is not allowed to

It will never happen; it would amount to discrimination on so many levels
Forget the random conspiracy nuts, can you imagine denying access to someone because their religion is against it?

As I said to other poster it will never pass into law and even if by some miracle it did tons would challenge it in court

Poor analogy.... the shirt & shoes signs originated in late 60s as a backlash to hippie culture
Hippie culture is not protected in any way under law... so why do you think it would be relevant?

Its no diff than a downtown club enforcing a style dress code
So long as not discriminatory it is legal

No one, other than you personally, would be sharing your info.

If my religion teaches racial segregation or female genital mutilation that’s not allowed here either.

Covidiot culture is not a protected group under the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

Thats exactly what sharing your vaccination info means

I admit I laugh at your cultural bias here
Any particular reason you specify female circumcision as "mutilation" as opposed to male?

I picked female circumcision because that’s one of the things that terb’s right wing islamophobes are obsessed with- they are always talking about it in their Muslim bashing threads so I thought it would be clever on my part to use that particular example to stuff back in their faces.

I dunno if you’re one of those far right lunatics or not but usually anti-vaxxers also turn out to be racist as hell.

Hope that answers your question.
