I thought Obama was the greatest president of my lifetime.
I would be thrilled if he could be president again. The man had a moral compass, he was a statesman, he was honourable, a dreamer and an idealist who wanted the best for his country and the world. No president in my lifetime even comes close to him. I used to like Bill Clinton, but as I've gotten older, I realize that he was indeed a sleezeball. I think back on how he used and abused people, his relationship with Monica Lewinsky. (She was just a kid who didn't know better) and his sordid behaviour over the course of his lifetime (how many times did he and Jeffery Epstein pal around on that island? 26?) I actually respect George W Bush now more than Clinton.
But without a doubt, Trump is the biggest piece of shit president in American history.
I don't think Obama was responsible for Trump. I think Trump got elected largely because Hillary was the democratic nomination. As hard as this is to believe, Hillary was more vile than Trump. A better Democratic candidate would have beaten Trump.
And I truly believe that Biden OWES his victory to Obama. I am glad that Obama finally took to criticizing Trump. For too long, Obama took the high road and chose decorum over emotion and the result was Trump was able to both win the election and to do as he pleased. Whether Obama likes it or not, he is the leader of Democratic party - even to this very day. He needed / needs to use his voice to speak out against Trump. During the election campaign, Obama finally got up on his feet and began denouncing Trump and campaigning for Biden. It is my position that the 2020 election turned on Obama. He won it for Joe.
If only he would run for Prime Minister.
