That's it, the impeachment trial was a sham and there will be no witnesses or evidence.
Even with Parnas sending a letter saying what he'd say in testimony and new Bolton info today.

Wonder what happens next...
If I were Schiff I'd get the dems to walk out of the final vote.

LOL.........What a waste of time this has been.

Dems need to beat him on the issues in the election period end of story.

That's of course if they can figure who is going to lead their party without dividing it right down the middle.

Trump has divided the country.
The US really needs someone who could pull it back together and stop fucking it up.

Democrats divided the country ever since Trump beat their sad candidate in 2016. All their false claims failed miserably including this sham of an impeachment. They rushed their "investigation" saying it was so urgent, then withheld delivering the articles. Finally they deliver and then they want the Senate to do what they themselves did not. Typical liberal bullshit .....

It would be nice if the Dems would finally stop acting like whining babies and do their fucking jobs. Slim chance they will ever do that, hopefully they lose enough seats due to their ineptness so the House can start functioning like it is meant to.

IE ..... we're stupid Democrats who already called witnesses, decided we screwed up again, expect the Senate to do our job and are now whining because we fucked up another "let's get Trump" false allegation.

Poor Frankie, having yet another bad day. What new beginning of the end are you and your liberal pals cooking up now? I'm sure it will be just as ineffective as all the other failed attempts. Trump 2020!!

A correct decision. The Senate's job was to examine the evidence provided by the House, not to have a never-ending investigations outside of the articles of impeachment. Tragedy! The Democrats will have to fight the election on issues.

Only Impeachment Trial in History where the witnesses and documentary evidence was blocked from the proceedings in the Senate. 75% of the Americans wishes were betrayed by a very partisan Republican Senate. This will be remembered for a long time. The Republicans at first stated absolutely no wrong doings. But now they have moved the goal posts to state that it was inappropriate, wrong, however it did not warrant a removal from office. If it was wrong and inappropriate then the witnesses and documentary evidence should have been provided and not blocked!!

The outcome was never in question. Nevertheless, the public is aware of facts about Trump’s conduct that they would not have otherwise known of were it not for these proceedings. Americans can draw whatever conclusions they wish and can decide what they want to do with Trump. Going through this process has thus served the public interest in holding the administration accountable and informing the public.

In the mean time, this is hardly over. Parnas will keep releasing info and giving interviews, Bolton’s book will a come out, Giuliani is apparently under investigation, etc. Not to mention the fact that Trump will undoubtedly continue to wreak havoc and make incendiary comments.

I would have thought that Americans would have grown tired of this by now but Trump’s supporters stand with him no matter what; there is a very good chance that he will win in 2020.

The Un Democrats had 17 witnesses during the House proceedings. The Republicans had none. Republicans weren't even allowed to properly cross examine the witnesses for crying out loud. The Un Democrats failed to issue subpoenas for Bolton, Mulvaney etc, why? The Senate should not be doing the job that the House neglected to do. It's supposed to present the evidence and the Senators are supposed to listen, read and rule on that evidence. Evidence by the way, that fell well below the standard of securing an impeachment conviction.

The House Managers led by Shifty Schiff and Fat Jerry got their asses whooped by a Defense Dream Team of Jay Sekulow, Pat Cipollone, Patrick Philbin, Alan Dershowitz, Ken Starr, Pam Bondi, Rob Ray and Jordan Sekulow. It was a classic beat down.

LOL!!!! Still forgetting that this is a political process, eh? During the Schiff's investigation the Republicans were not allowed to call witnesses, Schiff even withheld IG's testimony and he even restricted the Republican's ability to cross examine. Schiff and Nadler had every opportunity to call all the witnesses and documents their hearts desired while the case was in their respected committees. Instead, the fools thought that they could bully the Senate into doing their dirty work and split the Republican Party in the process. But don't worry. If the Dems retain the House, they will try again, I'm sure.

The trial is supposed to be run in a non-partisan manner, as after all it has a Supreme Court Judge presiding. It is no different from a normal court of law with the Senators being the Jurors. This is the first time that an Impeachment trial has occurred without any witnesses and documentation. Schiff and Nadler did subpoena the witnesses but they were prevented from appearing before the Judiciary Committee based on That idiot of a President's Executive Privilege. He has obstructed Justice all the way. But good for Bolton to release all this dirt on Trump as he has even John Kelly's backing in this instance. Kelly has categorically spoken out for the witness testimony, and inline with 75% of the Americans as well. Anyway Don McGahn was subpoenaed 9 months ago, but still has been fighting the subpoena!!

The Repugs had no defense other than hyperbole, obsfiscation and insanely illogical rhetoric. Trump is guilty as fuck and even you know it. And please, spare us their last resort excuse that his crime was not an impeachable offense. This from the party that impeached a President over a fucking blowjob! Subverting an election by witholding funds is definitely impeachable. Fair elections are the foundation of democracy.

The Senate has no duty to go beyond the evidence provided by the House. End of the story. The Executive Privilege is not obstruction of justice. And it is patently false that no witnesses and no documentation played part. In fact, the witnesses' testimony from the House investigation and over 20k documents were made available to the Senators during their hearings. What you and your fellow travellers are upset about is the Senate's rejection to widen the scope and to go beyond the House's articles of impeachment. Better luck, next time.
