Police are missing the point of the artistic symbolism of the gayness of the cross walk and the inevitable but apropos skid marks to be left on it. I think the artist was trying to convey the all very dystopian metaphor in the larger perspective. ahem.

Clearly anyone that has an issue with virtue signalling is racist. A smart individual would simply take a can of paint and a brush to the sidewalk and write BLACK LIVES MATTER on the rainbow, because when you really think about it, rainbow is kind of saying all lives matter, and that is racist too.

Tax payers should care. A rainbow crosswalk costs $12,600 versus $8,400 for a typical black and white one. Virtue signalling is free to politicians but at tax payers' expense.
And could also cause confusion among drivers when they encounter one and think it's just a mural and not a crosswalk.
