For a guitarist and songwriter of Ed's caliber, this song smacks of a lack of effort. Yet that's to be expected, because Ed hasn't really put an effort into much of what he's done since Roth left.

The production and sound is dry. No ambience.
And no musicianship to speak of. Disposable and non-memorable.
For whatever reason, Sammy thinks when people speak of a Van Halen reunion that they're referring to Sam Halen. The new lyrics reflect that.
Just more self-deluded nonsense, along the same lines of the bullshit he's convinced himself about the amount of albums he sold with Van Halen.
