I specifically asked for the names of the THREE Canadian cities, and you gave me two.Edmonton, Ottawa, for sure, can't think of the 3rd...
That's right up there with Babe Ruth's 'called shot' in the 1932 World Series.I sense an appearance from Bobby DeNiro is coming soon.
Yes, but this one actually happened. That's right up there with Babe Ruth's 'called shot' in the 1932 World Series.
'One and a half lines of Robert De Niro' first appeared on a different board in 2014.Yes, but this one actually happened.![]()
Ottawa Lynx. I went to a few games when I lived there.Name the three Canadian cities which played host to the Montreal Expos' AAA affiliate.
I wanna say, Jim Gott and Mike Morgan?
Who are these 2 Blue Jays?
Correct!I wanna say, Jim Gott and Mike Morgan?
The Oracle just spit out his coffee. Some Mike Morgan Trivia:
Morgan was selected by the Oakland A's with the 4th pick of the 1978 Draft on June 6, 1978. He made his Major debut five days later, and pitched a complete game. He may or may not have returned to Rancho High School in North Las Vegas, Nevada to complete his Senior year of high school before his next start.
At one time, Morgan held the Major League record for having played for the most different Major League teams, (12). The current record holder, Edwin Jackson, played for 14 different teams.
Morgan won at least one game for 11 different Major League teams, tied for 2nd all-time behind Jackson, with 12. Morgan was 0-3 as a Blue Jay.
On December 9, 1982, the Blue Jays traded minor league 3rd baseman Tom Dodd, (13 career Major League at bats, all in 1986), and innings-eating relief pitcher Dale Murray, (Murray pitched 100+ innings of relief in six different seasons), to the New York Yankees. In return, the Blue Jays received Morgan, outfielder Dave Collins, and an 18 year old first baseman who had, at that time, 3 career minor league home runs in 91 games/ 298 at bats over two seasons in the Rookie Level Gulf Coast League. That player's name is Fred McGriff.
Yeah that's right there with them trading Willie McGee for Bob Sykes fer Christs sake. The Oracle just spit out his coffee.
Or Jay Buhner for Ken Phelps.Yeah that's right there with them trading Willie McGee for Bob Sykes fer Christs sake.
Buhner wasn't doing much in NY....Magically he exploded during the steroid era...He's not in the Mitchell report but...The Kingdome helped him as well.Or Jay Buhner for Ken Phelps.
