So if Dofo posts a pic of his ass on every gas pump and passes a law which says you must kiss the pic when you get gas, you'd do it ? Of course you would!

Now you’re just being silly because you have challenges using real life examples.
Keep trying, you’ll get better some day.

Maybe just in some very right leaning counties. None of my local gas stations were pleased with having to be forced to conform to some ridiculous stickers on their gas pumps!!

Haha you state that as if it’s fact.
What did you do, take a survey or just chat with Chucky behind the counter?

There are better things to look for, rather than some political stickers. Definitely have not come across those stickers that you are referring to, on the actual pump stations. Just stickers like getting a Petro Canada Card to take off 10 cents per litre, or Air Miles or other gift cards etc. But now this Dumb DOFO sticker is very noticeable, as it is very misleading and a dishonest one!!
Now it all makes sense...you don’t drive!
If you did, you would know that the tax summary stickers have been on every pump for years. Anyone who drives knows that.
Jeezus I should have known.
You get your carbon tax “rebate” for free!
This changes everything!

Why, did you ever run a business before and have your hands tied behind your back with having to post some ridiculous political garbage on your products??
Try chatting with "Chucky" yourself to see if he loves posting that shitty stuff. If he does not comply or it has been ripped off and is not replaced, then he could be fined.
Supposed to be less Government, and yet the hypocrites try to make the Government big!!

You make more and more ridiculous assumptions by the day.
Not every gas pump has those stickers. No gas station is fined for not having those particular stickers.
Anyway, what use is it to you. Your calculations of costing them to your groceries etc. will be totally out of sync..... You will just think that it is vastly inflating your grocery costs. Bahahahaha!!

By the way, if I get my carbon tax credit for free, does that make you jealous?

That's an odd definition of dishonest. There are no rebates granted at the pumps. The stickers are perfectly accurate as to the impact of the carbon tax on prices at the pump.

As to the rebates, it strikes me as inexplicable that the carbon tax system is about collecting a tax and then returning it all to taxpayers at tax time. What could that possibly accomplish? Should it really be called the "Carbon Short Term Interest Free Loan From Taxpayers to Government"? LOL.

If taxpayers are getting all their money back, how would that act as an inducement to change their consumption of fuel? And if the government nets only some small amount of the tax, how will that money be spent to reduce the amount of CO2 in the air? The whole concept sounds daft to me!
Research shows that carbon taxes effectively reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Economists generally argue that carbon taxes are the most efficient and effective way to curb climate change, with the least adverse effects on the economy. Do some non-daft research! https://www.carbontax.org/where-carbon-is-taxed/

You can argue about whether or not those stickers are warranted...the point here is that peeling them off is against the law. It's vandalism. Just because you don't like something doesn't give you the right to damage it.
What part of that is so difficult for you understand?

ps hate to burst your bubble, but your tax credit isn't free. You've already paid for it multiple times over. So I'm not jealous...I'm amused by your naive thinking.

You're not afraid of being told how much this cash grab is costing you are you?

Here's a tip...if you wear rose coloured glasses, the stickers become invisible.

And you pay your taxes in full and don't try to hide income?
You also never jaywalk, speed or use your phone while driving?

Unless you obey all those laws all the time, you're a total hypocrite.

Who is talking about peeling them off?? I am referring to the other stickers regarding the gas taxes not the carbon taxes. You are just going in circles and cannot comprehend any of the discussions!!

If I am travelling by public transport like you seem to claim that I did, then the tax credit does not have to be used to offset the carbon tax. So that is a bonus!!

Yes, the Conservatives were the ones to bring about the GST. They have taxed the hell out of you and you still worship them. At least the tax credit offsets this carbon tax, but you cannot understand the simple math, and you came up with the ridiculous figure of adding 40% to the cost of your food. That was hilarious!!

In defense of a liberal staffer, what else would they be qualified to do?

You are the sucker in this whole affair, especially as your math worked out a tax of 40%. It is useless trying to explain something as simple as that as to what the carbon tax would cost you if it is factored into your grocery bill. I did it several times already, and yet you just cannot comprehend that simple fact!!

Yes I pay my taxes (why do you think I'm so vocal about getting taxed to death?)...and no I don't hide any income.
I don't jay walk as a rule because people can't drive and I don't want to get killed. And I've invested in hands-free technology for my phone while in the car.

Does that satisfy your inquisition?

Ok good.

Now you tell me if you think vandalism is excusable just because you don't agree with something?

Nothing wrong with my math just because you disagree.

Why are you so afraid of being shown what you are paying in carbon tax at the pumps? There are already stickers that indicate how much other tax is applied? Are the stickers about the amount of carbon tax being applied not true or something?

And why do you condone vandalism? Are you a closet anarchist or something?

We've already established the fact that you don't drive so you are arguing about something you don't actually experience.

This thread is about someone peeling off carbon tax stickers off pumps more tan 100 times...not the tax stickers that have been on there for years already. Not sure what you are talking about with me going in circles...look at the title of this thread!
My math was correct...not sure what reference to "40%" you are talking about?

So you take the bus. Congratulations. No wonder you have a biased view.
Many people have to drive and don't have a choice.

Your math was totally flawed, as it showed an increase of 40% to the "transport costs". Again that was very funny and all of us had a good laugh!!

Why was the Ford Government dishonest not to include the tax credit to offset this carbon tax?? So no they are not true as they are very dishonest stickers!!

Prove to me that I said I condone "vandalism"?? You just make random allegations in all you posts!!

You have established nothing. All fake allegations by you!!

It was Frankfooter that condoned it not you. Since you jump into discussions and don't acknowledge that he condones it and that it's wrong, but only focus on criticising me then I don't see you also jumping in on him and telling him it's wrong.
But hey, it's your choice to pick and choose who you battle with.

Why would the Ford government be dishonest about this? Why can the Liberals promote the rebates but Ford can't identify the added cost at the pumps by adding to what's already there?

People write off gas expenses as part of their business...the tax stickers on there don't say "you get a tax write-off if you do your taxes correctly". SO why do they need to advertise a rebate that gets blown out of the water anyway by someone who needs to drive for a living?

Sorry to inform you, but $300/year comes nowhere close to covering the amount someone would have to pay if they drive for a living.

So you do jay walk sometime and break the law.
So stop whining about whether anyone pulls disinformation stickers off of gas pumps until you obey the law every time.

Where do you get from my response that I jay walk?

"I don't jay walk as a rule because people can't drive and I don't want to get killed. "

Now answer my question about vandalism and stop answering with nonsensical questions just to distract.

'As a rule' implies that you do occasionally.
So as a law breaker you really should stop throwing stones at glass houses.

And stop speeding.
