Hey, if Biden comes out tomorrow and promotes Medicare for all, or ends a war, refuses to sign a large increase to the military budget, or any number of things that would help people I would give him props.

But he won't, will he?

Its good enough he's not backing white supremacists, giving tax breaks to the rich, breaking all social services and corrupting the entire government.
Status quo is way better than Trump.

But it goes against your comment that they try to be all things to all people.
He's advancing a very specific agenda, and not that different from the Republicans either.

When I say that I mean they claim to be a big tent and can do it all. In reality they pay lip service, and are beholden to donors.

So, Joe appoints the king (or queen) of the tree huggers instead. They rant and rave and make a lot of proposals that will cost a whole lot of money, few get on board.
Instead, Joe taps a relatively young guy, someone who has worked with the energy sector in the past. Oil and gas is such a huge part of the state economy in LA they have to have a seat at the table. Negotiation is the only way out long term. Joe Biden won't be taking any orders from Cedric Richmond, but he will listen....

Somewhat true. The Democrats got absolutely PASTED for over a dozen years, losing presidential elections by double-digit margins.
They moved right in response. They've been moving back left for 20 years now as the country shifts back again.

As for this Cedric Richmond guy, I know nothing about him and will have to look into him.

Of course, the OP put up a piece from Jacobin written by David Sirota so we have to assume it is deeply misleading about Richmond, the role he is in, or both.
