Is it appropriate to use "douchebag" as pejorative?

It seems that using female related terms as pejoratives has become the norm and accepted without any consideration that in doing so we are denigrating the 51% of society who happen to be women. I am not certain though that the ladies aren't reluctantly being quiet on the mis-use of these words. I suspect that many ladies are silently against such use.

Now I am old enough to remember my mother's DETOL filled hot water bottle hanging in the bathroom with a spray nozzle instead of the usual enema nozzle. Perhaps I was scarred as a kid by the fact that this mystery lady bits process existed.

IMO, it is time to stop and time to use less gender specific perjoratives like "Asshole"

Given that, "Douchebag harasses Indian Family" in a place like TERB seems OK, on the other hand posting about someone female or male "You are a cunt" is frankly TERB penalty box material.

Even though they're "female related" I have never used douchebag or pussy towards a woman. I also have never called a woman a dick/prick or even cocksucker. Even bitch I use more towards men than women. Asshole is also male only
