Is Barefax Open?

Ok, we are nearly a week since opening, has anyone stepped inside? Are they open day time or are they still only opening at 6pm? Upstairs open? I would do the recon myself but haven't been downtown since the shut down and would hate to make the trek only to find a locked door or worse yet no champagne rooms.

Their Instagram says they are open Tues-Sat from 6pm-2am. I'm normally a daytime guy so I haven't been there myself to verify.

Yeah, after 6pm and table dances only are not my cup of tea. I am going to Pigales for now until things begin to look normal at Barefax before I head there.

I was there last Friday. $10 cover, $9 for a beer, $20 per dance upstairs, no more 5$ cover for upstairs, The girls have to say it is no contact, ymmv.

I dropped by at 7pm a couple of nights ago. There was one dancer in sight, who stayed at the bar. No stage show. The server said there were a couple more girls in the dressing room but they never came down. I won't be rushing back on a weeknight.

It was busy tonight in terms of girls. Actually it was probably about even until 10:00 then more patrons came. I would guess there were 7-8 girls.

My understanding of strip club economics is that the clubs make their money off the drinks and the surcharges, while the strippers get the take from the private dances. Restricting hours to evenings and nights means the clubs cashes in on the surcharges and drinks from the groups of guys coming in after work to hang out while ogling the dancers and sometimes going upstairs. No daytime hours means fewer solo guys coming in to nurse a beer just long enough to go upstairs for multiple song dances. So the club wins and the strippers lose, but since the club needs the strippers to attract the guys it won't work in the long run, since the strippers will just move onto other clubs.

I went to Barefax today around 7 pm today and it was pretty dead. Girls were still coming in. So I decided to stay as I had an hour to spare. A dancer, if I remember correctly, Carmellata, came over and we went for dance upstairs. It was pretty sensuous and as good as pre-covid days. Left happy after few dances as couldn't see anyone as per my likings. The waitress said it picks up later in the night. Will try if I come back to Ottawa again.
