Just saw "The Great Gatsby". The movie is great. It's the 4th vision from 1926, 1974,1949, [2000(tv-film-kind)], and this year 2013 by director Baz Luhrmann.

When walking out of the theater I was depressed, thinking about the extraordinary party, the green light far distance in the mist that brought him hope & despair, his winning smile and dreary funeral. If he didn't persistently want to repeat past, things would be different. But who can? Love is blind. Who can be naive, persistent, and keep calm for 5 years struggling and waiting? The green light directed him to do every thing he could to become rich to make his dream come true. But when his dream was almost realized, it clasped without a trace.

He wholeheartedly loved Daisy till the moment of his death. He believed that was Daisy's call (which from Nick), when the bullet went through his body, he murmured her name and departed. Anyway I am glad that he died thinking Daisy still loved him although he never reached or touched the green light.

Gatsby, he is indeed great. He left us a moving story and a past age. A Great hopeless love story movie again.

One of the songs in the movie " Young and beautiful" -by Lana Del Rey, is great.
