Does this person that you think you may have gotten it from know?

Maybe you should tell this MP first...So the rest of us don't get it.

Chlamydia can be easily treated and cured with antibiotics. Can you abstain from sex with an excuse instead of losing face? Is so, avoiding sex while being treated reduces the chances of getting the infection again or transmitting it to someone else.

If you haven't had sex with your wife (you are married aren't you)... then take your treatment and shut up. If you have had sex with your wife... you don't have any choice in the matter. The risks to her are substantial... including infertility. There is no easy way out... just make sure your suitcase is packed... or at the very least I hope you enjoy sleeping on the couch for the next 6 months... with no hockey to watch either. :)

Of course you could be making a poor assumption. that is to say that you gave it to her, and not the other way around.

Prehaps she gave it to you.

Whoa!!! Are you for real?!? The guy has an STD and you want him to NOT tell his partner? I don't care if the treatment works or not, that's not the type of thing you keep secret from your partner. Holy selfish Batman! Even if there's a 1% chance of remission, that's still enough to warrant disclosure. If you're going to continue sharing a bed, she has the right to know. She is your wife afterall.

As to how to tell her, there's no easy way so just tell her straight up (and quick) and prepare for the lambasting you're about to receive. Don't drag it out. This is one of those things you just have to be a man about and take it like a champ. I dunno your history, but I wouldn't give you great odds on the relationship surviving. Maybe the cheating, but cheating + STD and it looks grim. But keeping it a secret will only make matters worse down the road.

Chalmydia can be cured with one pill (I think zithromax), you tell her that its a vitamin pill and give it to her.
End of problem!!

Tell her you got if from your cat!

In many species, including felines and humans Chlamydis is a common cause of Respiratory Tract Infections - 'RTI', and Upper Respiratory Tract Infections - 'URTI'.URTIs cause nasal congestion and discharge and in cats runny eyes. RTIs affect the lungs and may cause pneumonia.

Chlamydia was only relatively recently discovered, because it is a difficult organism to culture in laboratories, and difficult to see under the microscope. It responds poorly to most common antibiotics and until recently the best medical treatment was a long course ( 4 weeks) of vibramycin, (Vibravet) - a tetracycline based antibiotic.

In cats Chlamydia is very common and a major health problem for breeders. It causes a flu like illness with sneezing, serous (clear) discharge from the nose and runny eyes. Some prominent Persian breeders feel that chlamydia may be endemic in some catteries and is a contributing causes to the chronic runny eyes in their cats.

I feel chlamydia is also a common cause of pneumonia in young kittens. Many of us have had kittens who seemed well until about two weeks then became ill , stopped feeding developed a rattly chest and eventually died. This is probably chlamydial pneumonia. It may well be one of the causes of Fading Kitten Syndrome which may affect kittens as young as 24 hrs on.

Zithromax is a new , safe antibiotic which is highly effective against chlamydia. Vibravet takes four weeks to wipe out Chlamydia; Zithromax does it in a single dose.

BTW Zithromax can be bought like candy in Bangkok. I picked some up at the local 7-11 just to have with me in case I ever needed it... lucky for me with all the girls I've been with I never needed anything.

I can only imagine how difficult it might be to confess your infidelities to your wife. Regardless, you need to be un-selfish in this situation. She has every right to know that she most likely has contracted an STD.

I just looked up STD via Google.ca and found this link:

http://www.afraidtoask.com/std.html

EW! Okay, I am not trying to be immature here but omg, take a look at the photos and read the information. How absolutely disgusting!

CHLAMYDIA- What is it?

Chlamydia is actually a group of different infections caused by different strains of the Chlamydia bacterium. Though Chlamydia pneumonia can cause a type of walking pneumonia, and Chlamydia psittaci can cause a type of pneumonia caused by birds, it is Chlamydia trachomatis that causes various sexually transmitted diseases. Chlamydia is currently the most common STD.

Common Signs & Symptoms
Chlamydia can cause asymptomatic (no symptoms) infections in both men and women. In men it can cause groin pain and swelling (epididymitis) as well as burning on urination (so called, non-gonoccocal urethritis (NGU)). In prepubertal girls, it can cause a mild vaginal discharge and odor (called vaginitis); in postpubertal women it can cause an off-white discharge and odor which comes from an infected cervix. In women, it can be especially dangerous because it can silently linger for months and progress to Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID) which can lead to infertility, chronic pain, and even death. Even babies can get this infection: one half of all babies being delivered through the birth canal of an infected women will develop a Chlamydial conjunctivitis (pink eye) a week after birth. About a quarter of babies passing down the infected birth canal will get a Chlamydia pneumonia. Certain strains of Chlamydia trachomatis can get into the skin through minute cuts and cause a disease known as Lymphogranuloma venereum (LGV). This disease has a number of stages from a mild swollen groin lymph node to fever and chills. After months to years, LGV can spread to other lymph nodes causing pain, swelling, skin breakdown (ulceration as pictured) and other problems involving ones rectum and genitals.

Okay people, why don't we save the uncovered oral, etc for the wife or long-term girlfriends and leave the risk of ANY of these Sexually Transmitted Diseases for the idiots who donot favor sexual safety?

Goodluck telling your wife. It's better that you tell her ASAP and avoid having one of these horrible side effects happen to her. It just isnt fair.
