What’s the consensus on this? Is this something that should be encouraged or discouraged? Anyone know if this also applies in Canada.

I follow this guy regularly. I have no issues paying my crypto taxes on gains however would be interesting to explore other legal and encouraged ways to be smart with your crypto gains that also benefits others such as charities or business like lawyers and such.

Are there any specialist we can hire in the GTA that have experience with crypto and taxes. The CRA seems to pretend they know fuck all when I called them. The few tax experts I called that charge a fee didn’t seem to know what they are doing w.r.t. crypto.

Would you take medical advice from him too?

That’s why I said I am actively looking for a tax professional I can hire that has good experience with crypto and taxes. Was hoping anyone knows a direction because the people I called don’t seem to have the necessary experience I am looking for. I don’t have a lot like $40k gain this year but maybe in a few years it will be more significant.
