How do gentlemen cross their legs the way women do?

It happens all the time. An older fellow will cross his legs and begin reading a newspaper. Or two men will sit cross legged across from each other for a chat. It's not a casual crossing of the legs; it's a full-on leg cross the way women cross their legs.

As much as I try, I find it extremely uncomfortable for the simple fact that as a man, I have external genitalia. Are these men less endowed or do they lack sensitivity in their testicles?

I usually find my legs either in the figure four lock position or manspreading. I prefer standing on the train but when I choose to sit, I tend to manspread a bit as in the picture below, but I also cross my lower legs to take up less space. Full-on leg crossing takes up a lot of space in front and blocks other passengers, so the sensitivity may be questioned in more ways than one
