I was thinking that the homeless person may have been a decoy but either way the actions of the crowd are legit and not surprising to me at all. I could go downtown toronto with the same signs and get the same or even harsher reaction from people like that.

When I had guests from France over, they were shocked that we had signs on our front yard announcing which political candidate/party we supported. They said where they're from in France, nobody would do it. I was equally shocked that they were unable to participate in what seemed to be such a natural simple freedom of expression.

I don't know where you've been many Democratic Party supporters have been doing this for years. The problem now it's more amplified because the party has turned even more to the left. It's ok for their groups to protest (Occupy Wall Street, Black Lives Matter etc). but the minute a right wing group or movement does i.e. Tea Party they try to silence their voice, call them bigots, racists, sexists and often protest their rallies often causing violence.
