Okay so years ago I tried the usenet thing by signing up for gignews but I found it was not user friendly and searching sucked.

Fast forward to today a friend showed me nzb.su and gave me an invitation but when I tried the code the screen just had that spinning circle for literally an hour before I gave up.

So what exactly do I need to get into using nzb?

From what I understand I need a website that does all the searching for me and allows me to just click on the nzb rather than highlighting all 30 files for the movie myself.

I think I also need software that will take that nzb, grab the files then assemble it. I would love it if I could schedule things as I have unlimited downloads late at night.

Does that mean I need three paid items? The software, a newsgroup and access to an indexer?

If so can people recommend good software, newsgroup and indexer for movies and tv shows?

Thanks.

I don't download as much as I used to but binsearch.info and newsbin pro work well enough for me

The only thing you have to pay for is the newsgroup server, the reader and some of the indexing sites are free. If you just want to test it out first to see if you like it, you can buy a block plan from newsdemon $2 for 10 gigs or $5 for 25 gigs without a expiration time limit. For indexing usenet crawler is better organized for searches, but requires you to register.
