Exactly. Skype has been around for a long time, and is quite cheap...free in a lot of cases (computer to computer) and low cost for computer phone to phone. It has not killed anything yet.Skype didn't kill the Telcos. Google won't either.
Cell phones are doing damage to the land lines but you still need an interweb connection so until everyone is using a cellular modem they'll be fine. And even then....
The cost is in your internet access anyway. But as the capacity of the web increases eventually it will all merge into one thing. Perhaps that will be totally wireless, or perhaps the fibre optics will still carry the bulk of the heavy data loads.Me too, I hope google rewrites the rules and redraws the playing field. I used a Droid phone recently in the states and it was way better than an iphone or blackberry.
Agree. But as the capacity of the web increases eventually it will all merge into one thing. Perhaps that will be totally wireless, or perhaps the fibre optics will still carry the bulk of the heavy data loads.

Go to your gmail account, select settings on top right of page > select Chat > there you see voice and video chat settings and what devices are currently default > click on verify settings and from there you can see if the mic, cam and speakers are working for gmail calls. if something is not working then click on troubleshoot your settings.PROBLEM: I call someone on the G phone.
