So you're basing your opinion of the film without having seen it?
Do you also write restaurant reviews without ever having been there?

Or maybe you just like believing what others tell you to believe rather than having your own opinion?

What are you afraid of?
Yeah...as a matter of fact, I do read restaurant reviews. So if I see a restaurant get criticized by many critics and then shut down by the Public Health Department for Health Code violations...then Yeah...I would def avoid that restaurant.

You, on the other hand, would no doubt walk in and order whatever was cheapest on the menu and then spend the rest of the evening in Emerg puking out your guts from food poisoning. So you just be you, Boob.

;)

haha spewing bs opinion about a movie you haven't seen yet because the radical left is losing their shit over it and you believe them.

An intelligent person would see the divided opinion out there, question why the leftists want to ban it and want to base their own opinion on actually watching it. No wonder headline readers like you are totally lost.

Actually, the key point in the film is the scientifically irrefutable fact that it will be impossible to replace fossil fuels with wind and solar power in the foreseeable future.
If you think that is both the key point and a 'scientific fact' that means your criticism is pretty shoddy.
Its a straw man argument.

You still claiming the planet would never hit 0.83ºC?

And there is the inevitable TDS flare up...followed by comments about penis sizes...quality info from you as usual.
Stay on topic, boob.

The right wingers on this board have backed Trump, who thinks drinking disinfectant is a great theory, and the racist theories of Rushton, as well as anti-vaxxer nonsense.
They are as scientifically literate as the climate change deniers, really its all science denial.

How are you any different from an anti-vaxxer or Rushton/Harris follower?

Are you seriously saying "stay on topic" when you bring up Trump in a thread about Butts? Is your TDS so bad that you don't even separate US vs Canadian politics any longer?

Typical leftist ploy of just changing the narrative to deflect and bundling everything you don't agree with into a single "your either with us or against us" argument.

How is that reply on topic, you're not discussing climate change?

I'm on topic, I'm pointing out that right wingers can't tell a legit scientific idea from drinking disinfectant.

By the way, while you guys whine the world just had another record warm month, with June tying with June 2019 as the warmest June on record.
Tie for warmest June globally, Siberia sizzles: EU

Australia burned through the winter and now Siberia is burning, with massive fires through what used to be permafrost.
And then you get larue with his wacko 'theory' about IR absorption combining with his inability to understand even the basics about the greenhouse effect.

I suppose that you would not want the opinions of the woman who is a climate change activist, started the save the oceans organization The TarraMar project and like your little hero Greta spoke before the United Nations (nine times) to be censored either. I'm sure Ghislaine Maxwell would appreciate your support as she sits in jail accuse of pimping for Jeffrey Eipstein among other things.

I see, so you think defending climate change deniers is like defending Ghislaine Maxwell and Epstein?
You're on your own with her.

What's your theory for why the planet is warming so much and Siberia is on fire?

Just pointing out one of the leaders in the climate change movement.

I'm not certain that we are headed into an extreme heat era. After all many so called scientific theories have been proven wrong before but I think if the planet is warming so much it is just a natural cycle as has happened a number of times before and isn't influenced by man. This theory of scary global warming is being promoted to control the masses and their behavior and make some others extremely rich. Some of the solutions being proposed such as using reflectors to block sunlight or using force to shift the earth's orbit farther away from the sun would be far more disastrous than a hotter planet.

There is only one set of projections that have been accurate over the last 40 years and that's from climatologists as reported by the IPCC.
None of the climate change deniers here can point to anyone with a theory who has predicted anything even remotely accurate in comparison.

Given that, you have to take their future projections very seriously.

comparing how one chooses a restaurant vs arriving at a well informed opinion on a contentious, very complicated and extremely far reaching issue such as climate change is disingenuous at best, absurd at worse.
The outcome of this issue will determine if millions of people around the world are forced to remain in poverty or not.

Perhaps when you grow up you will come to realize how inappropriate it is to take a strong position without doing the proper homework

I can respect someone who flat out states "they just do not know or understand the issue well enough to make an informed decision" Honesty is always the best policy
I can also understand someone who has been bombarded with apocalyptic climate change propaganda and does not know there is another story or does not realized they have been purposely mislead. John Q Public
The true and absolute contempt is reserved for fools who take a hard position without taking the time to view both sides of this issue, because of politics or because of a false poll (this is not how science is settled)
An even lower (snake like) category is for those that actively push the propaganda while remaining scientific literate

Well then talk to your pal, Boober...he’s the one who introduced the restaurant metaphor...LOL! I stand by my opinion.

Well i'm not going to get into a full climate change debate with you but the IPCC by their own admission was caught using incorrect numbers in their projections. But you will be free to post their inaccurate data if Butts and others have their way while all opposing views will be squashed. Under a senario like this if it was practised years ago, slavery would still exist.

Here's a chart with their projections, as posted by Gavin Schmidt, head of GISS at NASA.
Feel free to point out the errors or supply a contrary chart with better projections and accuracy if you've got them.

Homework correctly done, decades of reports with footnotes to original studies, checked by large teams and incorporating thousands of scientists.

Homework done shoddily.

Larue's favourite source, run by one person financed by the oil industry. Contains opinion pieces only, no scientific papers. Has multiple errors.
Rated by media bias fact check as Conspiracy-pseudoscience

Perhaps some day johnlarue will grow up and abide by his own philosophy.

Sorry I didn't rduce it to a three word summary for Knuckle Head to be able to read and try to understand.

Check this out:

Facebook has censored Michael Shellenberger -- who was once named a "hero of the environment" by Time magazine -- for challenging the fairy-tale claims about mankind causing a mass extinction.

Unreal.

And speaking of the whole "extinction" business, the "climate porn" crowd might remember Zion Lights, the former spokeswoman for Extinction Rebellion.

Guess what? She now says she understands the "facts" about green energy -- and has become a lobbyist for nuclear power. (y)

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...ts-green-movement-lobbyist-nuclear-power.html

She has a point.

As much as the censorship crowd doesn't want to hear it, the reality is this: if you're serious about wanting to reduce man-made emissions, the only way to do it is through a massive expansion of nuclear power.

The Green New Deal silliness about replacing fossil fuels with wind and solar power is just more fairy-tale nonsense.

Did you read your article?

It was about the AMOC, or Thermohaline current. They suggest that climate change could slow or stop the AMOC and that this would put the North Atlantic areas into a big cold area while the rest of the globe keeps getting warming. This is in the IPCC reports and has been discussed previously. In fact if you look at all recent global temp maps you'll note a big blue blob in the North Atlantic where Greenland ice melt is already slowing down the AMOC.

Actually, its the other way around.
Facebook refuses censor climate change denier propaganda like the CO2 Coalition, which it lists as 'opinion' while they actively delete posts from climatologists.

Shellenger's article was deleted for pushing lies, as should all articles pushing lies.

Democratic Leaders Want to Know Why Facebook’s New Oversight Board Won’t Deal With Climate Lies
“We struggle to see the value of this Board as anything but a public relations stunt.”

CO2 Coalition, a group that is organized around the “important contribution made by carbon dioxide to our lives and the economy,” has benefitted from the special treatment. CO2 Coalition’s executive director, Caleb Rossiter acknowledged to E&E News that Facebook has been integral to expanding its influence. “You can reach so many people both with your posts and your advertisements,” Rossiter said. “We’re kind of like Donald Trump. We’re not happy with the treatment we’re getting from the mainstream media, we resort to social media. That’s where our action is in larger part.”

While climate deniers like the Heartland Institute and Committee for a Constructive Tomorrow have benefited from the loophole, Facebook has created new obstacles for climate scientists in their efforts to promote their work. Climate scientist Katharine Hayhoe, a lead author of the fourth National Climate Assessment studying global warming’s effects on the United States, found that Facebook blocked her in 2018 from promoting educational videos on climate science, some of which were peer-reviewed by NOAA, and has since classified her postings as “environmental politics.”
