a question more for the ladies


but in general, why is it that east indian women appear to be highly coveted, wanted women (escorts) by men, however, the opposite is not true (in that most women in general will not be caught near a brown/eastindian/pakistani type man).

just noticing that once every few months, a new thread is started on various discussion boards by men looking for east indian women.?

i never see it the other way around and am just curious and want everyone's inputs!

I agree... east indian women can be gorgeous... though it tends to be a very specific look and those that are outside that look are wayyyyyyyyyy outside. Most east indian men tend to be pretty dominant I think (perhaps dominant is not the right word)... and I think a lot of those attitudes may carry over and not be favored by SPs (largely cultural)... most east indians I know still have arranged marriages for instance...

In Vancouver, EI guys have a reputation of being abusive to SWs and SPs. I'm pretty sure they don't cause that many more problems than white or Asian guys, but it's easier to single out an identifiable group as dangerous rather than white guys, because white guys are the majority of the market. And Asians have the stereotype of being "harmless".

Perhaps it has something to do with the traditional Hindu practice of sati (aka suttee) whereupon a widow is required to mount the funeral pyre of her dead husband and be cremated along with his corpse.

Few western women are willing to display such devotion to their husbands.

Times are changing and trust me they are changing doubly fast when it comes to India and especially urban places such as Mumbai (formerly Bombay), Bangalore, New Delhi etc.

Most current generation EI men would be as nice and polite as you would imagine any other race to be.

It's sad though that the perceptions of people do not change as fast as time!

So true! It is so easy to paint a brush and smear good people, along with the not so good of any race or culture; white, black, EI, Chinese, etcetera.

Many East Indian women have 'caucasian' facial features, which makes them both familiar and exotic at the same time, to a white guy.

Trying not to be culturally judgemental here, but who hasn't heard a funny story about an East Asian guy not being aware of the rules in a strip club and crossing many lines in a big (and sometimes humourous) way?
