Online subscriptions offer convenience that physical newspapers do not.
So it is okay to be free if you do not have that "Convenience" that an online account has?? Bahahahahahahaha. You are a clown.
That's why media companies like the Star explicitly state that subscription accounts can not be shared. You are paying for that convenience and access. What part of that do you not understand?
Then it can be printed by the subscriber and passed on to me........yes?? But not to be read online.....yes??
Do you think they put that in their terms & conditions because they don't really mean it?
Do you think that all the subscribers read every single term and conditions when they subscribe?? That is ridiculous!!
The T. Star could have Corporate Accounts for Businesses, and that can be shared with the employees.
But if they stipulate that the account is for one subscriber, as there are all the personal details like credit card information, and other private information, then they do not want it to be compromised by many others that are offered the shared account. It is solely for the subscribers own security!!
Importantly, only one device can use it, so that if it is shared then they can get complaints of not being able to access the articles etc. by the subscriber.
Plus if the account is accessed in another city or strange location, then the person trying to access it will be blocked and a code sent to the subscribers account in order to unblock it. The Toronto Star can be on the hook for it. They will not enforce it, even if they know that the accounts are shared within the same residence. I know that for a fact. So get a life!!
