No, I don't have any experience.

However it depends, if the drive hasn't been overwritten it is possible.
I have never done it but you could try a live linux distro and use testdisk.

Yeah, there are special applications which provide possibilities to recover deleted files. Just choose the best one, for example Disk Drill. I read about it in internet. For example here is a guide about how to recover deleted files from usb on Pandora Recovery website. It must help!

I had used Recuva in the past but it all comes down to how long it has been since you deleted the files and if your hdd has written over the sectors
