Do you guys think an Anytime Fitness Franchise is worth $390,000?

I think, owning a sports franchise can be a lucrative venture, but as you rightly pointed out, it's contingent on numerous factors. Nowadays, the growing popularity of a healthy lifestyle is undeniable. People are increasingly seeking ways to enhance their well-being and maintain their youth. Actually, I've been contemplating the idea of joining a fitness studio franchise myself. I recently came across hitsona.com , and their unique approach to training and fitness caught my attention. Currently, I'm in the process of evaluating all the potential benefits and risks that might arise from such an investment. It's an exciting space to be in, given the current health-conscious climate.

The Anytime Fitness in Oakville needs a significant amount of investment.

I can tell you that 2 of their Treadmills are broken (and have been that way for 4 months). The benches in the Free Weight area are worn down and need to be replaced. The machines work well, but they are 8 years old and showing their age. It feels like the current ownership has thrown the towel in.

They want $44.99/month in dues with all the deficiencies that I mentioned - Anytime Fitness is a strong brand and the concept of boutique Gyms with worldwide reciprocity is a good one, but this particular franchise in Oakville seems like it is slowly circling down the drain.

I've heard that the Franchise fees for Anytime Fitness can account for up to 30% of Gross Revenue when you add it all up.

You couple that with the fact they are sandwiched in between a Goodlife at Oakville Place (more expensive but more amenities), another independent boutique Gym on the Lakeshore in Downtown Oakville (same price but not 24 hours), and a brand new FIt4Less five minutes up the street (24 hours and lower rates); I think it would be an extremely tough slog to turn this place around - if it even can be turned around.

Another guy mentioned in Post # 7 of this thread that Anytime Fitness is investable if there are no nearby competitors; the franchise in Oakville has several competitors.
