In 2017 I invested just under $200 as an experiment. It was trading platform with multiple crypto’s. After I took a loss making dumb trades, I decided to sit and wait for the big rise in value… except after a year, the platform just took my money for inactivity.

a $200 lesson.

not your keys, not your coins.

but , it's common for brokers to do that (i.e., inactivity fee).

I cashed out from mine today actually... Stayed too long, so I took a loss, but I knew the risks going in. May jump back in if things look promising. Overall, a neat experience.

classic mistake with investing in general.
