Yea pretty sad that he is trying to help the American consumer....
I must have missed the part where he acknowledged his energy policies have been a total disaster and will be immediately reversed.

What's your source for that? 🤔

There are immediate profits to be made and you are claiming they don't want to bother making billions because of Biden?
Long-term investments don't produce "immediate profits."

What he is actually saying is the industry isn't prepared to invest tens of billions into the drilling infrastructure the Biden administration is determined to kill.

Biden: Let's end taxes.
GOP: NO!

Biden: Free healthcare for all.
GOP: Communism!

Biden: $5K rebate for all American car owners.
GOP: Socialism!

Biden: No more free education, no more public schools, and free guns for all.
GOP: YES!!! YES!!! YES!!!

You didn't miss it because they have not. Think for yourself rather than just echoing GOP talking points.

Joe Biden's message to Congress: Help me! I've fallen in the polls and I can't get up.

Really, how sad is it that even Nancy Pelosi is non-committal?
CNN 🤣 the most biased name in news.

I think current production level being as high as it is owes to
reserve replacement afforded by high level capex in the Trump
years. Drillers are now happy to exercise restraint from over-drilling
in accordance with the Biden administration's anti-fossil-fuel sentiment.

US oil producers ignore Biden’s rallying call to drill
June 11, 2022

As US petrol prices scale record highs, with the cost of a gallon of fuel surpassing $5 for the first time, Joe Biden has pleaded with the country’s oil producers to open the taps and stem the surge.

But those calls — a stark departure for a president who vowed to crack down on fossil fuels — have largely gone unheeded as the industry insists its drilling spree days are behind it.

“When the White House started calling around in a panic, they thought shale oil production could grow sharply in the near term — like in a matter of months or quarters,” said Bob McNally, head of consultancy Rapidan Energy.

I
First you argue that Biden should do this.
Then, when Biden starts doing it you say its a failure.

Let us know if your brain ever gets up.
Wait, now you're against cutting taxes on gas?
So much waffling, I can't keep track.
I repeat: Bullshit!!!

I continue to publicly challenge you to produce the quote where I said or even implied that Biden should cut the gas tax.

The oil companies are making record profits, raising dividend share buy-backs etc. They have determined that there is little incentive to drill because that would take a lot of cap-x, soften prices and ultimately moderate profits. That is not a criticism the CEO's are doing what they are supposed to do but please this blame it on Joe game is just not factual at all. ................
This response from Biden to rising oil prices is enough for Big Oil to wish
for the return of Trump. Personally I'd rather Biden stay for another term.
With Democrats in charge elevated oil prices ($90+) over the rest of the
decade is assuring IMO.

I have yet to examine the all time high oil production data under Biden
in detail. You have to be aware of the fact that the number includes all
the liquid fuels produced. Some of that could be produced from reprocessing
of imported oil. One thing that can be certain is Biden and the Democrats have
made it clear that they want to see fossil fuel eliminated in the near future.

The skyrocketing gas prices in the U.S. are due to a shortage of supply, not a lack of demand. Indeed, the fact the current supply can't meet the growing demand is the problem.

Biden's proposed tax cut does nothing to increase the supply. Actually, it would likely increase the demand and could make the problem worse.

And it effectively kills his pledges to the UN on climate change.

You are clueless. Those are meaningless nom-sequiturs.

If the states follow his lead that would result in an immediate savings of 50 cents a gallon. How could that not be a good thing for consumers.

Short term problems that will be fixed by more renewables.
Not more drilling.

Yea pretty sad that he is trying to help the American consumer rather than spending his time grifting. Regrettably it is the GOP which will be hurting the consumer this summer.
Actually the Democrats are even against it. It would kill their funding for infrastructure.

That is not a criticism the CEO's are doing what they are supposed to do but please this blame it on Joe game is just not factual at all. The "doom" that the apologists for the industry refer to, even if it was true, it not going to arrive any time soon and it is far enough down the road that whatever cap-x was employed would be more than recouped. The bigger players are all employing a multi pronged approach and are investing heavily in green strategies. Just listen to the CEO's of Exxon and other integrated companies etc.

And yes regrettably emissions will go up in the short term. That is just the reality of the world and times we live in.
So are Apple, Nike, Amazon and Microsoft. Should they lower their prices?

The GOP is doing what they can to weaken Americans and their confidence in the American govement. Voters that are unhappy and believe that the party not in charge might do better, is a winning strategy. It sure helped Joe beat Donnie by over 7 million votes, but the things everyone hated about Trump were all his own doing where Joe is getting blamed for everything and not being able to snap his fingers and fix these problems that have been now years in the making. Inflation won't be an issue by next year at this time and fox will run out of propaganda to make him look bad. There are only so many caravans coming. The majority of Americans are sickened by what they see and the blatant abuse od power and downright dishonesty of the GOP and now the Supreme Court . Hopefully swing voters have seen enough to advert this fanciful red wave by the silent majority that trumped promised would keep him in power for 4 dreadful more years I think when the gop talks about the silent majority they mean the dead people they sign votes for and when they vote several times or try to strong-arm the vote certifiers to overturn the will of the people. They will stop at nothing to win. The Democrats can ve shrewd but at leas they have some decency and always take the moral high ground which is shown as weakness by the blood thirsty trumptards.

Lets see.
If Apple is too pricey, buy a pc.
if Nike, buy converse or something.
Amazon? go to a store.

If oil is too expensive buy renewables, they are cheaper.
