I'm just wondering in your mind how you think Canada will look like in the long-haul.

How will Canada look like in 2050 in your mind.

Thanks.

If the Liberal Party of Canada has its way population will have reached
100 million by 2050. I guess we will fall short of that target but in all likelihood
ethnic mix of our population will be more diversified than it already is today.

Our debt will likely have been written off by default by then. A loaf
of bread will only cost you one or two thousand Canadian pesos.
Not an unworthy price to pay so our government cannot borrow
money to finance deficit spending anymore.

Climate change will deteriorate to a point where the climate is
nonetheless only a tad worse than it is today. We will continue
exporting oil, gas and coal without any restraint, for emission
reduction targets by then will become yesterday's folly. We will
have started burning woods to reduce escalating energy cost
after global oil production began its irreversible decline sliding
down the Hubbert curve circa 2030.

I don't see our population that high probably 60-80 million.

I asked ChatGPT to project based on current population, fertility rates, death rates and current immigration levels with 2024 levels of immigration for permanent residents vs 2025 targets for permanent residents.
