I don't know the details of Canada Free Trade agreement with the EU, are there certain obligations that Canada has to meet? The turbine for the Nord Stream gas pipeline was built by Siemens, why is Canada repairing it, I can't see Trudeau doing Putin a favour, is he obliged to help Scholz?

It does highlight the brain drain under Putin that the Russians couldn't repair it themselves.

It may be the turbine has to operate in a very cold environment (Russia) & the Siemens technical expertise is located in Western Canada

or
its a spare we have left over from the mass exodus of investment $ and cancelled projects in Canada that Justin Trudeau the fool made happen
