Our 'dictator' PM just held an inquiry and allowed full debate over the emergency act he implemented at the bequest of CSIS.
The same act he ended as soon as possible.
Compare that to right wingers like Daniels in Alberta who are changing the laws so they can pass secret laws that citizens can't challenge.
In the name of 'freedom' from the feds.
Or compare that to Doug Ford, who violated our charter of rights just to try to not to pay Ontario workers a decent wage.

Ahh, Keean Bexte...or, as he's also known...Racist Caillou. And, as others have pointed out, there is a world of difference between China and Canada and the COVID response. But, since the righties and FreeDumbers on this board might require a refresher:
Trudeau was democratically elected. He has a minority government that could face a vote of non-confidence and collapse. China's leader Xi Jinping is basically a dictator who is consolidating power.
Trudeau did not impose the majority of the mandates the FreeDumb convoy was protesting against. They were mostly provincial. The trucking one was something the US was imposing as well. China's zero-covid policy is draconian. They literally shut down a CITY over one case...forcing everyone to shelter in place with strict curfews. That has not happened here, and was never suggested.
Let's also remember that the FreeDumb "protest" was not a popular movement but demanded the government to collapse. Which would be a horrible precedent.
So, as usual, the right thinks that Canada/Trudeau is a hypocrite for supporting this uprising....but that's because they have blinders on that ignore facts. As usual...
