B.C. He told me stories of encounters with black bears.
Sounds like he got used to them on his job.

From what this guy told me tree planters worked in
groups. If this woman was working alone something

All carnivores that hunt and eat humans would be more attracted to women on their periods including sharks and polar bears. Polar bears have black skin but white fur which might put a twist in your zeal to make bad jokes based on bear skin colour.

In my younger years I worked a summer for the Lands & Forest in a park north of Lake Superior. We chased bears out of camps and occasionally we had to shoot them. There are always exceptions but most animals in the wild try to avoid humans. If they are surprised, confronted or threatened (including their young) they will attack. The worse scenario are humans trying to make friends or feed the bears. Any instinctive fears that were present melt away. Bear attacks like this are extremely rare.

I use to do wilderness camping and in all the trips, we never had problems with bears. In most cases they are looking for food. Our food was hoisted at night and we never kept food in the tents. The lesson is to respect the bear and give it a wide berth. I hope rare cases like this does not dissuade people from enjoying some of the most beautiful wildlife areas in Ontario.

I was fly fishing alone by claremont and heard rustles of some big animals a few yards, it could be a deer or something that big. not coyote...I don't know if it's a bear or whatever...I dismissed the idea then and continued on but googling "bear in durham region" when i got home and i got a surprise...

From what I can determine, there have been about 7 deaths from black bear attacks in Ontario in the last hundred years. Yes, a bear could easily kill a human if it wanted, however 99% of the time, they want nothing to do with you. Treat them with respect, don’t keep food in your tent in bear country.

It's not believed, it's the truth. YouTube nearly witnessed a mauling when a black bear stalked Isabel Paige. The cameraman must have had a gun or else she would have been dinner. She started in 2020 not 2010.

Isabel got lucky.

If she had a cameraman, he wasn't aware of the bear either. She wasn't forest savvy at the time, she went hiking in shorts. Along the way she scratched her leg that drew blood. I suspect that when she finally noticed the bear, she pissed herself and the bear lost interest.

Black bears eat a human, usual a camper or hiker every couple of years in Algonquin Park it seems, live sashemi unlike the more omnivorous much larger grizzlies out West that often kill people and then bury them to dry age the meat and eat latter.

In the middle of my speed walk on the Humber Trail, I noticed a beaver den. I was surprised by how big the actually are, they seemed unconcerned by mu presence. Bears love to eat beaver, the only animal strong enough to tear a den apart.

Bears don't like big pussies, especially those with stripes, they become the hunted. So this was the big Texas freeze, the big pussies look like they are enjoying it.

Maybe try looking south of the border and see what a "great idea" it is to have a free-for-all with guns?

By the way, in remote areas like the one in question, you could most definitely carry a loaded gun -- there would be NOTHING preventing you from being armed up there in the middle of butt-fuck nowhere if you wanted to.
