I doubt Canada will ever build a pipeline (or refinery) either in Canada or elsewhere again. We won't export oil. We'll just import our oil from Saudi Arabia (just like Quebec).

Killing Canadian jobs, reducing oil and gas exports and increasing oil imports is exactly what the lefties want.

The Keystone XL project is not the only project that TC Pipeline has. If you want to make an investment and can wait 8-12 months then TC Pipe stock is a good buy. I would not be surprised if there was pushback from American workers that need jobs at time when there is a pandemic and a depressed economy. The Keystone XL is vital for national security ( of the USA ) so that America has a reliable energy supply in case of national/international emergency.
Biden has to follow through on his political promises. He may just announce the scrapping of Keystone XL on his first day, but in the end it may be built with additional safety concerns addressed. Once a permit has been issued the Department of Energy must have legitimate reasons to cancel the permit. A politically motivated promise is not enough to scrap a multi billion dollar project.

Killing democracies, destroying the environment and letting poor people suffer while decreasing taxes for the 1% is exactly what the righties want.

We have gotten this far with our oil demand infrastructure without this pipeline. The new era of EV's is well under way. Why do we need this pipeline?

Oil is still king, far from dead yet and will be around for a long time yet. EV’s are coming but there are still many problems and inconvenient truths about them.

Very true. Winter being one of them. Taking 8 to 10 hours to fully charge is another.

97 percent of all vehicles sold are internal combustion engined.

because ev is not practical unless your ONLY making short trips around town OR you spend big bucks on one with an extended range which for the same money you could probably get two gasoline powered cars

Eliminate all the government subsidies on electric vehicles. Let buyers pay full pop.

We need the pipeline to supply oil to EV owners
who keep their ICE car for long range traveling which
means a lot of them. We need it for workers who
assemble the car to drive to the EV factory. We need it for
workers in the mining sector mining the metals, the
petrochemical plants manufacturing the raw materials
(such as polypropylene) and other raw materials required
for construction of EVs. We also need it for people who
couldn't afford to live in a house or high-class condo
where they can leave their EVs plugged in overnight for
recharging. And of course we need it for those who can't
even afford an ICE car to commute by TTC.

You could get more than you wish from democracies.
Remember the yellow vest protests against Macron's
carbon tax.
