Here's a tough one.

Going to have to use some @Sonic Temple methodology here.

Runnin' with the Devil / Hells Bells*
Eruption* / Shoot to Thrill
You Really Got Me* / What Do You Do for Money Honey
Ain't Talkin' 'bout Love* / Givin the Dog a Bone
I'm the One / Let Me Put My Love into You*
Jamie's Cryin' / Back in Black*
Atomic Punk / You Shook Me All Night Long*
Feel Your Love Tonight / Have a Drink on Me*
Little Dreamer / Shake a Leg*
Ice Cream Man / Rock 'n' Roll Ain't Noise Pollution*

Asterisk (*) denotes the track I prefer

Back and Black for the win, 6-4.

Van Halen Eternae...prime Gonad the Barbarian is unstoppable.

The albums came out on different years how about one year 1968:

The Beatles - The White Album, The Stones - Beggar's Banquet, Cream - Wheels of Fire.

Van Halen mostly turned into plastic after the first album and then just got annoying. Although maybe you can also say that about AC/DC after Back in Black.
I like their Kink's covers and Eruption.
I will give it to Back in Black.

Solely based on Eddie’s virtuosity, nothing like it had ever been heard before, VH1 has to take this.
I think VH1 is one of the best, if not the best, debut album by a band. It was going to be hard for them to top this one and, with the possible exception of 1984, I don't think they ever did.

They were pretty unstable as a band, though, with Roth and EVH butting heads constantly. Eddie wanted a band that wrote their own material and experimented with different with instruments. Roth basically wanted them to be a cover band, which is exactly why there were so many cover songs on their early LPs.
