So I've been around the community for a few years now, so I have limited insight as to if this is truly an all time highest volume.
I don't know if it's just me, maybe some of you veterans can speak to what it was like 5-10 or even 15 years ago. But, I'm noticing across all agencies and spa, the rosters of women is at an all time high volume!

I wonder if this is economy/inflation related, or maybe in Canada the sentiment towards escorting and prostitution laws are changing?
Do you think it's just desperate times call for desperate measures? or are more and more women open minded about the industry? and safer these days to run this kind of business?

or is it just simply, money.

what are your thoughts?

More and more serious providers and clients have both been migrating from LeoList to Tryst. The cost to maintain an AD on LL vs the conversion rate for inquiries that turn into real bookings has become less favourable than BP ever was. Tryst provides a free basic AD, as well as a premium plan at a cost comparable to advertising here! Clients will follow wherever the overwhelming presence of disireable providers shifts to, so far as advertising.

In response to the original post though, I think that general online discourse this year seems to show a more positive attitude towards the industry, which may have influenced those with more open minds to try it for themselves! Especially on the tail end of the pandemic and during the holidays , all types of people are looking to... diversify their sources of income haha.

When colleges/universities let out for christmas break, I think we'll see another spike of new MPAs and agency SPs too, although that one should be more temporary.

I don’t think that many will migrate to Tryst. The verification requirement for advertising is too intrusive. Forcing all escorts to show their face to unknown administrators is just not going to fly enough for Tryst to make a real dent in the advertising market.

The site is great and fair in pricing as you said but I can’t see the verification process attracting a majority of escorts.

This would also make it difficult for agencies, although I admit there may be another type of verification for agencies. I don’t know.

I appreciate your perspective, and it's true that the verification may be a barrier to some! Though I must say it appears that big numbers have already migrated, or may be using both. Near 400 providers there have Toronto listed as their hometown, and I've not looked at listings in surrounding areas like Mississauga, North York, Markham and so on.

Using LL (and TERB) seems to be an excellent option for agencies because they can pay/post one or two ADs to promote multiple providers, but this doesn't seem to be a model Tryst supports - their pitch is "Home of the independent escort, Listing thousands of independent adult entertainers...ect".

I totally get and respect what Tryst is doing but they will always be limited because they have put themselves in a niche spot catering to indies only. So between their own desire to deal with indies, and the verification requirement, Tryst will max themselves out and therefore men will still flock to where the majority are. It is just the reality.

However, when looking for that specific market, Tryst is great. Half the weeding is already done for both sides, client and escort. Serious clients can seek professional escorts with less risk of scam.

I like tryst for exactly that reason.

100% agree. In many cities LL is a cesspool of scammers, and weeding them out is a hassle. The number of 411's and review postings in some markets about LL ads is massive and speaks to the crap shoot that it is. Having to do reverse image searches and check for scams on every girl who catches your eye is exhausting. TRYST, ads on ERB's and Twitter are now my only sources.

yeah, I wasn't speaking so much about LL vs Tryst, but moreso agencies like DiscreetDolls, HPL, Mirage, SFT so many to name, etc etc.

I honestly have never used tryst, but maybe I should?

One of the biggest reasons clients partake in this lifestyle is convenience. For this reason, there will always be demand for escort agencies in the commercial sex industry.

Leolist may be teeming with scammers, but there are still a good variety of SPs that use it. Those that primarily use Twitter/Tryst are typically your mid- to high-end escort, often the least convenient of all options IMO.

I think it is a whole combination of factors. Things are financially tighter. Women are more open to it. I'm sure the business case makes sense.

While my perspective is biased, either in Porn or as a SP, if I was a hot chick, I'd be fucking dudes for money too. Why not? The dating scene appears to be in complete shambles.

If my asexual wife were to say she wants to enter the field for the sake of retiring early, I'd encourage it! (I'd get to retire early too, right?)
