yeah. but covid cases are outta control in SA right now. If you do not mind the risk, I recommend you checking out medellin Colombia. lots of access to fine pussies and cokes

Dominican is open for Travel. Costa Rica requires you have present a PCR diagnostic test that was taken within 48 hours of arrival...I don't know how that would work since testing results can take up to 5 days (at least in Toronto).

Actually, that is not correct. According to the Minister of transport, international flights will continue to be restricted in Colombia until August 31, 2020. However, it is possible that the date could be extended a 9th time.
The trouble with the Dominican is they opened it to the Americans too and now there numbers are spiking. And from what I see both Cuba and Dominican flights don't start for another month, at least in Cuba not so many Americans
Officially it is still August 31. But other interviews with officials have talked about mid November at the earliest. And perhaps from only certain countries. As the intensity of the epidemic in Colombia is increasing I can't see them wanting to add foreigners to the mix. My guess is year end or early 2021.
If you are from Canada or other countries on the list, and if there are flights from your country, then you can fly to Costa Rica, as long as you have a clean result from a test not more than 48 hours old, and you also have to have insurance specifically for Covid related health coverage, plus 2 weeks hotel stay in case you have to quarantine when you are there.
And if you are American, and you come to Canada to get a flight to Costa Rica, you have to quarantine in Canada for 2 weeks before your flight, and then go through the process as above.
And first flights from Canada are scheduled in September.
And, when you come back to Canada you have to quarantine for 2 weeks. Not sure if an American on that basis would have to do the second quarantine in Canada before going home, or not.
costa rica is another option if there is less travel restriction. You can stay at del ray hotel and pick up chicks in the lobby every night. I guess not too bad for a quarantine stay in hotel I did this trip few years ago before I discover medellin colombia.
