Because 90% of the people out there (especially the ones who pay taxes) can't fucking afford a boat. Just for some context, your average in board / out board boat gets about 1 mile on the water to the gallon of gasoline at a slow to moderate cruising speed. Open it up and the bottom falls out.
If ever there was a display of conspicuous consumption, this has to be it and I question the brains of any working class American who votes for Cadet Bonespurs after seeing such shit as this.

In his memoirs Obama said that one of his great regrets is that he never got a boat parade. He would much rather have had that then the Nobel or being the most admired people on the planet.
