Agency promotions

So we all know prices are going up, but the agencies need to remain competitive. Nobody wants a price war, but it looks like there are increasing mechanisms in place to lower prices.

There are the "Book 4, get the 5th at half price" sort of deal. Mirage & Dreammakers appear to be running promotions like this. A $250/hour rate saves you $125 on $1250, or 10%. Has anyone gotten to the fifth booking?

GOE has specials available only through Twitter.

Others, mainly new agencies, offer a short-term "Terb discount" of say $50. Tristan's Angels did this, I believe it ends tomorrow. Their downtown rate of $260 means you might pay as little as $210 per hour, a 19% savings.

So, has anyone actually taken advantage of the agency loyalty programs I see advertised?

Yup, unfettered capitalism. The Hong Kong Chinese would be proud of our escort industry as they are the last bastion of unfettered capitalism on this planet. BTW: Hong Kong debt is rated AAA. How many other countries can say that?

So, that has nothing to do with the topic at hand...

I thought the topic was unfettered capitalism in the escort industry. I threw in Hong Kong as the best example of unfettered capitalism. Anyways, please continue. Who else got the 5th as a freebie?

Garden of Eden used to have TOFFT specials, if you would write a review on a new escort. Those were fun. Cupid's had some free-half-hour game that I won once, so I got to see an escort for 90 minutes for $250. I didn't even know I was entered in the Cupid's contest, so it was a delightful surprise.

Would a promotion like the GoE one be considered shilling these days?

Hey guys, what other promotions have you see over the years? I never hobbied frequently enough to make them worth while.

More to the point, what kind of promotions would actually make you switch agencies or preferences? For me, it's all about the lady, I'm completely indifferent to the agency. So most agency promotions wouldn't sway me, to get my business all you need are the hottest, best reviewed ladies...

I likely wouldn't be interested in the "buy 4 get the 5th at half-price" as this definitely means the agency is keeping records about you I would think

It's about the cost as much as it's about the lady. Besides, the agency people with good and helpful phone manners *do* get my business, so I do preserve agency loyalty as much as escort loyalty. I especially appreciate the bookers who are willing to say, "Einar, call back another night. Tonight I have a couple of girls available, but nobody you would like. Trust me." These days I have that sort of rapport at 2 or 3 well-known agencies. I'm not a VIP hobbyist, just an honorable hobbyist.

But I have never played those loyalty points games. I do think the agencies should offer more deals, but it's hard for them to do it without losing their escorts. Toronto is now basically a $250-per-hour cartel city, and that's a shame.

Cupis's had a weird contest earlier this year. The winner got something like 10,000 free sessions. The second and third place finishers and everybody else got zipo.

Yeah I'm pretty sure that's not true at all
It is so true. Do a search. The 2nd and 3rd place finishers and everybody else got zipo. So, Cupid's got one happy winner and 10 million unhappy losers. In MBA school, they taught us to hand out prizes to as many people as possible. Spread the happiness (I mean prizes) around.

Maybe I should have clarified.
I was referring to the 10,000 free sessions part.
I do remember the whole 'everyone except for the winner gets squat' part

not actually true there were a whole bunch of free hours and half hours given away at various times when jillian was on line asking trivia questions the grand prize was 10 free hours but i'll be willing to bet there was 3 times that given away in instant wins over the length of the contest.

actually there is no promo that would make me switch agencys i tend to stick with the same 3 or 4 i get good service good ladies and no bullshit .......that doesn't mean i will not try other agencys but the better ones are the better ones for a reason and that is where the better ladies are too

I just think that any promotion that requires too many multiple visits, and record keeping and coupons blah blah blah is more trouble than it's worth. For hobbyist AND agency.
