He was NOT charged today for re-opening
He WAS charged for OBSTRUCTION of JUSTICE (based on fact he messed with the locks after cops changed them this morning)

Toronto Police confirm that arrests have been made and officers remain at the scene. “We continue to ask for calm and cooperation,” the force tweeted.

@unassuming if you watch the arrest video you can clearly see he was inside the restaurant portion of building when police drag him out

But he was arrested for opening the locks, NOT for selling food today

Officials/Cops are in process of changing the locks/boarding up the restaurant.and entering the place, probably to confiscate cooking equipment perhaps

I have a strong suspicion after watching videos cops missed a back door

You see Skelley talking with his crew planning
You see Skelley unloading truck and carrying tables + meat + supplies into building
You see Skelley and his employees enter the back of the building (which apparently is not a restaurant according to news sources)

Then

You see Main restaurant doors open from inside and people coming outside with meat (which looks like donations I do not see a single sale take place unless its inside off camera)

Then you clearly see police block door prevent people from getting in
Multiple fights between protestors and cops

Police cuff Skelley and take him away, claiming he is under arrest for obstruction of justice (removing the locks)



So HOW did he access the restaurant and HOW did locksmith mess with locks while cops there the entire time?
I think he (somehow) accessed the restaurant through the back unit

He was charged for operating without a licence before the premises was closed by order of the health department... That closure does not revoke the business licence. Therefore it either expired or something else...
