Putin invaded Ukraine because he thought he could take it in 3 days and get away with it since his useful idiot looked done.
It had nothing to do with NATO, Putin wanted control over resources in the Donbas.
The really stupid thing is he was given the Donbas by separatists before he decided to go for the entire country.

How pissed do you think the population would be if Xi takes military action and fuel plus food imports get cut back dramatically to whatever Russia can spare and move across the Transgendered Siberian Railway and the Oceans get denied, look at a map it would be easy peasy.
How pissed do you think the population would be seeing what little lift capacity get destroyed and lots of families lose their one and only child trying to cross the straits to Taiwan and end up failing.

How Angry do you think the population would get when they run low on fuel, food, when jobs go tanking, and their military is shown for the paper tiger that it is. 1. The Pope and I both abhor and condemn any and every war as unjust. Of course I cannot match the eloquence when the Pope speaks ex cathedra.
