He has kids and would rather leave them fatherless than get a vaccine. What an asshole!
On the other hand they might be better off without him raising them.

Maybe he is pumping so little blood to his brain that he cannot think straight.

So the science behind transplanting an organ from a dead person into his body he can get behind but the science of getting a needle is where he draws the line…… a brain transplant might be more appropriate for him.

It would appear that Darwin will take care of him.

No, you need to understand the scarcity of organ donations.
Pre covid any candidates would have to demonstrate they are going to fulfill all requirements to ensure their best chance of survival. They can't afford to waste organs on someone who won't take care of themself. In this day of covid vaccination is a must because while he is recovering even a cold could kill him. They need to ensure transplant candidates are in the best possible position to survive.

He is the asshole not because he doesn't want to be vaccinated but because he is choosing to leave his wife a widow, his children without a father and his parents to lose a son all because of his personal choice to not be vaccinated. His obligation should be to his children first and foremost and he is going to do this to them over his "principals" makes his a selfish twat and I am glad that someone's organs will go to someone more deserving.

Your a bunch of fucking ghouls, kicking him off the list is basically murder and morally wrong. Whoever made this choice should face charges if this man dies as a result.

Imagine I am hanging onto the edge of a cliff about to fall to my death and you offer to help me up to safety but I refuse your help out of my misguided principals, that does not make you a murderer if I fall and die.
The hospital wants to help him and he is refusing the help.

Buddy would be at risk of catching the virus at the hospital and passing it on to others in the ICU.
So why should they put other patients at risk for someone who won't moderate his own risks?

Sounds like it's the USA style private medical system that has "Death Panels" to me.

Seriously though yes he should be denied. When someone undergoes a transplant they have no immune system. Hence the requirement for a full vaccine treatment before so the body has a chance. They have in the past also denied alcoholics livers, smokers lungs and the like. Especially if they refuse to quit.

There is no negligence here with the medical staff.

Wasn't that an issue a while back with David Crosby. Preferential treatment for the rich and famous. Felt the same way when Cheny got a heart transplant, though I would have been OK with a pig heart...

Um. The registry and allocation of transplants isn't subject to cash and influence I think in the USA. Mind you the cost is up to the recipient but who gets them and in what order privelege doesn't come into play. In theory anyway. My understanding is they take it pretty serioysly.

In Canada as well. Although(at least in the case of a kidney) if someone donates in a recipient's name they get bumped to the top of the page.

He was given equal opportunity for the transplant but he fucked it up, to give him the transplant would be equality of outcome which is even more unethical.
