Wrong again, if we didn't act, there would have been 50-100 million deaths like in the 1918 pandemic. The only reason that we are turning the corner is the vaccines and scientists believe the vaccines should hold against the variants. This is now the pandemic of the unvaccinated.
I'm totally on board with you on that...but I have to admit, I'm kind of wondering why it doesn't seem like they're stacking the dead like cordwood in the countries where only 2% are vaccinated. There are so many poor countries where there aren't any vaccines available, yet the US still leads the world in deaths. It just seems...strange.

If you look at death rates per year there have been no anomalies no matter what the cause. Covid didn’t disrupt anything.
The Spanish Flu had a death rate of 10%. This has one of less than 0.5%. Spanish flu made everyone sick not just the old and weak. They didn't have medicine or hospital capacity like they do now. Most cities today were very rural back in those days. Also a less traveled world with a much smaller population. In order for covid to be as bad as the Spanish flu the death toll would have to be close to 300 million.. The Spainsh flu was gone in less than 2 years without a vaccine. You really are a fear mongering dooms dayer. Go back to your basement
So what's the real number. Because if you think it's double then you're admitting that China is lying about their numbers and never eliminated covid like they claimed in the beginning. I still think the 5.6 million still hasn't clarified if it's from or with covid.
Which is more than double the cases they got with Trump as president and no vaccine.

Yeah, I'd be wary of anyone who says they have facts and then take you to the references.
In a pandemic (worldwide epidemic) I far prefer to believe the outliers like Peter Yuni who is almost alone in the world where most countries are loosening lockdowns, vaccines and passports, he's insisting we won't be safe if we do the same. I like his unsubstantiated intuition much more than the referenced facts in online articles.
