please provide the data that shows what percentage of crime these laws will reduce (there isn't any because its not a problem to begin with with "ghost guns")

guns are basically untraceable after first sale the cops can trace it to the dealer once sold privately then its gone trail ends same as in Canada with non restricted

"ghost guns" are not a thing they are not a problem they are going after something that they make sound scary but has no bearing on overall crime stats its cheaper and far easier to buy a factory made gun. Red flags laws WILL be abused by ex's or anyone who wants to fuck with you, gun show loophole? please try and buy a gun at a gun show without a background check (I have lived in the us for years)

just like the ban "assault rifles" (they are semi automatic rifles NOT assault rifles which are full auto) which are used in 2% of all gun deaths in the us (more people die falling out of bed per year then from rifles) they are not the problem the dems and the media claim they are

handguns are used in most gun deaths in the USA rifles are not even close a few hundred deaths per year vrs many thousands with handguns

this will go to the supreme court which will likely strike it down
Do we even need to say "virtue signalling"?
They already have a name for the Red Flag laws-the Hunter Biden Law.

You are simply making dissociated statements. The correlation between gun ownership and gun violence and death is clear and you either denial or failure to find the statistics really says more about you. And the fact that gun control measure may be declared illegal does not change that. That is simply a function of the interpretation of the 2nd Amendment.

And the current guy can't even read or even string a few coherent sentences together. And lies constantly, so much so, his own partisans can't ignore it.

you have failed to provide any proof ghost guns are a problem you just say banning it will help provide PROOF

the second amendment is CLEAR you have the right to keep an bear arms NOWHERE does it say "except ghost guns and anything else Biden says is bad"

LOL! Why would I be upset? Bide's "leadership" will ensure Congress going Republican next year. Ir's one train wreck after another.

LOL. Have you provided proof of anything you have said. Like everything else proof is only required when someone challenges your attempts to defend the indefensible. google is your friend.

And I agree that the 2nd amendment protects the right to bear arms, and which by the way until recently did NOT protect the individual's right, and is the direct link to hundred and perhaps thousands of gun deaths every year.

doesn't matter how many deaths, the second amendment protects the right to bear arms and the courts have reaffirmed this and if they take a case they are considering it could greatly expand that right

I agree that the 2nd amendment does not care about the number of deaths. That is the lunacy of the 2nd amendment.

and those actions will have zero effect on crime the so called 'ghost guns" are nothing Americans have been making guns forever you buy the parts and machine the receiver takes time and a bit of skill its satisfying to make something yourself but its actually cheaper to buy a factory made gun

are they going to ban pipe? blocks of steel or aluminum?

if you cant legally own a gun you cant legally make one so now its double illegal?
Sure can ban the selling of kits specifically sold for making guns. That's a huge distance from machining your own gun from a pipe.

the NRA is a lobby group

the courts have repeatedly supported the second amendment I doubt these new orders will withstand a court challange
From the same group of people who think it wrong for corporations to state their opinions on politics.

p.s. the courts have clearly upheld government's right to place some level of restrictions on guns; the only discussion is where the line should be drawn.

NO its actually not have you ever made one? done any real metal work/machining?

its illegal to build a firearm if your not permitted to own one (usa) in Canada you need a PAL and contact the CFC and your CFO before you start

lets use the ar15 the 80% lower it requires drilling accurate holes machining and threading depending on the make you CANNOT just open the box and assemble the gun its VERY easy to screw it up and make it useless yes you can buy a JIG but its still a few hours work unless you have a mill/lathe and if you do you can just make from a block of aluminum OR you go to the dealer and buy a finished one that will work its cheaper and will look better

you can 3d print one
guys have even made them out of wood
guys cut many layers and bolt together sheet metal receiver
build an ar15 lower from stuff you buy at home depot

look it up on you tube if you don't believe me

akm's are stamped sheet metal you can literally cut sheet metal to size and weld OR bend the receiver then drill the required holes then add parts

the 80% lowers are simply NOT a problem that needs to be addressed they are not flooding the streets or increasing crime using the term 'ghost guns" just makes it sound scary

guys were buying 80% lowers and building ar15s here in Canada legally you just needed to follow the laws an steps required guess what no increase in crime or blood in the streets you didn't even need a license to buy the 80% because it was not a gun just a chunk of metal (you cant build them in Canada now but you can build any gun that's not prohibited)

Yes, If you want to come to my work, I have more than enough equipment to get the job done. I usually leave the precision stuff to the machinists but I know my way around.

Fact is that kits are being sold online to make the job way easier than doing it from scratch and there is absolutely no reason why kits specifically meant to make untraceable guns shouldn't be banned.

really why should they be banned? they are NOT a problem they are not flooding the streets or causing crime rates to climb you DO realize after the first sale all guns are untraceable in the us right?

Are you really asking why kits specifically sold to make untraceable guns should be banned?

And what you're doing is arguing for better gun tracing in the states.
all guns are untraceable the ar15 for instance since you know metal where the serial number is is on the mag well you could drill/mill that out will no effect to the function ands the serial would be 100% gone no way to recover it you can do that to many guns highly illegal please don't do it!

never going to happen in the US that would need a registry which would fail and cost billions just like the liberals tried here

do you think its different here once a non restricted gun leaves the store its gone untraceable

even registered restricted go missing off the rcmp computer system as they had to enter numbers from pieces of paper and sometimes the paper was old and not able to be read or got lost

No one is pretending that reasonable limits on the acquisition and ownership of guns will solve all problems or eliminate all gun violence but apart from simply repeating the 2nd amendment arguments no one can seriously suggest that curbs will reduce some gun violence.

The second has increasingly been taken out of context. Most of those today would not argue with the right for private citizens to own muzzle loading firearms or to join the National Guard. Supposition that those who adopted the US Constitution envisioned anything more is speculation at best...

I'm glad YOU think you know what the founding fathers "thought" or meant the courts have disagreed with your thinking

So the fact that kits are specifically being sold to make untraceable guns doesn't seem wrong to you? There are only two cases where an untraceable gun makes sense and neither is worth supporting, a person planning to use the gun to commit criminal acts or a paranoid gun nut who believes that the government is going to steal all his guns and reinstall King George.

I get that any laws about gun use get you all sensitive but your argument here is nonsensical, especially as the US already has endless ways to legally buy guns.
