jeri: We heard you the first time. It wasn’t interesting so we ignored it. Reposting the same thing 5 hours later in the same thread doesn’t make it any more interesting.

🙂
Yes, but jeri is still very afraid of the possibility of BIPOC people getting weapons.
I'm sure its always front and centre of his mind.

LOL, do people understand that the NRA is one of the most vanilla gun lobbies in the US? Their replacement won't be as polite.
They won’t be as politicaly influential either. The NRA is on the wrong side of public opinion and the wrong side of history. They’ll exist as a fringe kook group...Maybe like QAnon?

WTF! What has ever been polite about the NRA? If you bothered to read above you know the NYS Atty. Gen charges they are a criminal enterprise, with leaders living higher on the hog than even Jim Bakker. Who is going to replace that, the Mafia or the drug cartels? Both are staunch gun advocates...

Right...because owning a gun a protecting your rights isn't popular anymore, oh wait....
It’s never going to get to the point that all guns are banned and the 2A is repealed. A lot of Dems are gun owners too. But the days of being against any and all limitations on firearms are gone. That’s not gonna fly anymore. A majority of Americans want gun reform...and it’s becoming a passionate issue on the Left that will turn out voters in the same way that it traditionally has on the Right. There is going to be sensible gun law reform.

It is yet another thing that the Right are gonna need to get used to.

Joe doesn’t need to debate Trump...he is comfortably ahead. All he needs to do is cruise along and watch Trump continue to implode.

No, a majority of Americans just want to be left alone and don't want the systematic discrimination involved with allegedly "sensible" gun reform that would remove due process and see them treated like criminals on a regular basis.

It's not enough to huff and puff and pretend that the sky is falling, if you want compromise, you should bring a horse to trade and prepare to deal with a middle-of-the-road organization like the NRA. Because something like the GOA, won't negotiate.

C'mon man.......Are you a Junkie?.......LOl
Pffft...You wanna know who I am? I’m Trent Dilfer and I’m quarterbacking the 2000 Ravens to the SuperBowl. My stats aren’t great but they don’t need to be. My defence is strong and my ground game is solid...all I gotta do is manage the game and not turn the ball over.

Lost again, what's a GOA? And what ever gave you the idea that the NRA is "a middle of the road organization? Drinking hand sanitizer again???

$70 million- that's the value of the NRA to the GOP in 2016 election and the reason for the Democrat lawsuit. It's all about the politics, boys and girl. Everything else is a misdirection and excuses.

Middle of the Road? After 22 6 year olds were shot they refused to consider any sort of reform.

And so I assume did you.

And that not only doesn't qualify as middle of the road, it doesn't even qualify as rational human being.

The NRA are a menace to society, they should have been dealt with after Sandy Hook, instead Mitch McConnell had the legislation to prevent psychopaths from buying automatic weaponry scrapped by Congress. This is what happened since.

America's Messiah suggested that the NRA move to Texas. Great, Texas is getting slaughtered by Covid-19. They just set a record for most infections in one day at 10,893 with 197 deaths. It's so bad they're freezing the corpses in refrigeration units. I'm sure they'll be overjoyed to host them. Handsome Ted Cruz will be ecstatic!

NRA was gun safety and very mainstream (a young chuck schumer, dem senator from NY was a member) until 40 or so years ago when "the paranoid strain in American politics" basically threw a coup and took over the board. Then it became much more politically active. They unfortunately took an anti-slippery slope model thus opposed ANY restrictions on any arms, thus fought against banning automatic weapons and against putting identification material in explosives (to allow LE to better track down terrorists who use explosives). Also against background checks and for the mentally ill to own weapons. We also know the Russians sent some money through them through that Russian spy Marina Butina (who allegedly was part of a Russian gun rights group, which does not exist lol, and who slept her way to the top of the NRA). The indictment is pretty damning...LaPierre et al really took them for a ride lol.
