If that show really wants to rescue itself, they should fire Ellen and hire Ru Paul. Being a lesbian peaked as hip in the late 90’s. Now they are just another group in mainstream life.

Bring on the drag queen, make the show fun
That idea is crazy enough that it just might work

Ellen degenerate, total scumbag like 100% of Hollywood. It all depends on ratings, no watchers means advertisers won't pay. Rosie o'donnell tried to play the nice guy role and she was exposed too.

GTA & Thereabouts...
She's self-made; got to the top and owned it... and (only now) pissed people off along the way. Good for her. She's more qualified than the current USA President.

I liked her work in the Finding Nemo & Dory movies. She married and gets to regularly lick the pussy of Portia - a lady who should be a heterosexual as I find her so hot.

Watching Ellen go down gives me as much joy as watching fourth wave feminists attack the old white women second wave guard ie Margaret Atwood
Hey Trump does the same racist , sexist shit and gets away with it, so why can't Ellen do the same. With both, their legions of loyal devotees will not listen to the negative talk about their respective heroes.

Most celebrities that are fronting lucrative shows are tyrants. David Letterman skirted several potential sexual harassment suits. And Howard Stern pays most of his staff pauper wages while "The King of All Media" rakes in $90 million a year. And I wont even get into how ungrateful he is to Dell' Abate. Without him, he'd be doing a radio show in Wyoming or be locked in a rubber room.

But she blames male subordinates to try and escape responsibility

Meh , maybe the shoe fits.

Some people seem to be mad at Ellen because she is “mean”. Being told not to talk to her unless spoken too, not to engage with her, ask for pics, etc is not being mean. She is there to do a job.

I have not heard a single accusation of sexual harassment or racist comments made from HER.

They have been about her producers. So if the people complaining are complaining about the show and the only thing Ellen is accused of is NOT allowing random conversations and selfie taking, then how is she personally the bad guy here?

She is the face to a huge company, she does not make the whole company nor does she run the entire thing. She shows up for work and gets paid like everyone else there.

She built her brand on being a “good gal” with positivity being a selling point. So when it turns out she’s actually a d-bag rich snob, obviously ppl will tune out.

I donno man... this feels pretty bad .. what makes you say so?
Because Ellen has a huge audience and prices and people will still watch her for them.

If the talk show goes, she will do something else in TV or film or something. This scandal is not going to “bring her down”.

Most scandals of rpeople don’t bring them down. Mathew Stewart went to jail and now rocks out shows with Snoop Dog.

These people don’t go anywhere. They may change shows but they don’t actually leave Hollywood.

Plus - in this double standard world - she is a woman. And she didn’t personally do the “bad” so she can place blame and walk away.

I have two words for you: Harvey Weinstein.
Getting head from Gwyneth Paltrow went to Weinstein's other head. At the time he was moving Miramax away from Disney, Pulp Fiction made the Weinstein Bros a lot of money. Shakespeare in Love was the second Weinstein pic to win Best Picture in a three year span. He considered himself invincible and figured that all women should respond to his irresistible manliness like Gwyneth did.

The other Best Picture winner was The English Patient.

Is this your way of supporting a bad person because she's rich, lesbian, and white?

I don't know if she'll be around for years to come, but she certainly doesn't deserve to be.

If she was a he, and a straight conservative, your take would be 180 degrees different.
I see much projection here

But this guest returned five more times. SMH
I always thought she had a cocky, patronizing way about her. Its pretty obvious when you watch her interview someone. I remember the Dakota Johnson interview. After embarrassing her the first time about not being invited to a party, Dakota inviter her to her next party and Ellen said no she didn't only to be told by her producer that she indeed was. The audacity.

It's interesting, perhaps just co-incidence, I dunno, but I've crossed paths with 3 lesbians in my life and all of them were not nice people. All 3 were butch. In the above article, some guy said, " In an interview with Fox News, Majercak branded the host as "sly" and "demeaning". I found that interesting because the one lesbian in particular I was thinking of would be best described as sly as well. That's a nice way of putting it. Also, she was had a built in defense mechanism that would regularly kick into overdrive. She could lie to your face and not even blink. World champion liar. Even when you knew she was lying and you had her cornered, she would just dig deeper.

But if I had to speculate, maybe it was the result of being the target of bullies throughout their lives. I can recall when I was in high school there was 1 very gay young man at my high school. It's a long story, it doesn't really matter, but he was tortured. I can remember the bullying he was subjected to, the beatings, the constant threats. I even remember the thugs that would bully him. One in particular. (And back then, the high school I went to was a tough place. If you were known to have brains, you didn't walk down the machine shop hallway if you could avoid it.) Poor guy just lived in fear. I never bullied him (or anyone for that matter), but I didn't stick up for him either, nor did I try to be his friend. (He had no friends.) As far as I was concerned, he was on his own. High School was living hell for this poor kid. He finally left before finishing because he just couldn't handle it. Can't say I blame him.

So maybe a lot of LGBT people had similar experiences and in order to survive, they developed coping mechanisms. Hard to say if you haven't walked a mile in the other guy's shoes.

Just coincidence. I've known lots. They are like everyone else. Some are great. Some suck. Just people.
