Hamas won the election, this pissed off the US and Israel, who backed a coup attempt that ended up separating Gaza from the West Bank, with Hamas vs Fatah. That made Netanyahu very happy as he used the divide to stop all talk of settling for the two state solution, which is why Netanyahu kept funding Hamas right up until Oct 6 last year.
Netanyahu has been the worst leader for Palestinians and Israelis. He blocked and then destroyed the two state solution and now has destroyed zionism as a movement along with destroying Gaza.
