Now is that cancel culture" (which is what I was talking about.) In my opinion, being "cancelled" as has been commonly known in recent history doesn't offer opportunities for someone to modify their course.

This conflict between alumnis and administrators is nothing new. I see it at my alma mater. The one thing I totally agree with you is that University Presidents should be more adroit politically. I would suggest the University Presidents are utterly tone deaf which reveals another problem in campus environments in my opinion.

PS- I think labeling wealthy donors "right wing" is an attempt to draw your argument along partisan lines and blur the issue at hand. I see no evidence that the majority of donors who made their protestations public are politically "right wing".
