Are you really thinking that since Ukraine advanced so quickly in their fall offensive that this one would be easy too? Anyone with half a brain knows about the defence in depth Russia has been building for half a year and knows that b reaching it will take work.
And most analysts who aren't paid by Moscow believe that the current part of the offensive is Ukraine picking at different parts of the front to see how Russia commits it's reinforcements or runs out of artillery. They've even made a few small incursions across the Dnipro to test Russian awareness.
