Suspect killed by Hamilton Police.
Surprising that the cop haters aren't celebrating the news of a dead cop. Probably just another a-hole white cop anyway.
Reminds me of the way General Population inmates in jail react when they hear news of a cop being killed on the TV... instant cheers, smiles, verbal imitation of gunfire, and laughter ensues.
From common citizens to convicts, the boys in blue have their work cut out for them.
The suspect was killed in Hamilton but I think by Halton Police.Suspect killed by Hamilton Police.
I understand why you feel that way. It was really shitty to hear what happened today. Senseless murder.#BlackLivesMatter , huh? Not when they're criminal. Not when they engage in senseless violence and murder innocent people.
We need stop this sh*t before more cops get killed.
If they're perpetrators of crime their fair game. Irrespective of whether they're black, yellow, brown, white, red or any other colour!
I digress. Your take is more reasonable and I do agree the justice system is a f*ckin joke with these lenient sentences.I understand why you feel that way. It was really shitty to hear what happened today. Senseless murder.
Still... our society was founded on a system where everyone gets due process and a fair trial. We can't have vigilantly justice when the news makes us mad. Sometimes the news is wrong. Sometimes people make untrue accusations. It's in the times when we are the most emotional, that we need to stick to our principles. Otherwise, we end up like parts of the world where crowds are beating people to death, or burning them alive because they were acused of "blasphemy", or something just as stupid.
Gun laws give cops tools to arrest bad guys carrying unregistered weapons. They don't fix the problem... but they help. (And no, I am not advocating specifically Trudeau's proposal).
The courts doing a better job would also help. Bail for gun crimes needs to re-examined.
I can't see a fix for that. The Supreme court seems to feel proven repeat offenders staying in jail is cruel and unusual punishment.I digress. Your take is more reasonable and I do agree the justice system is a f*ckin joke with these lenient sentences.
A police officer on a lunch break is murdered. And here you are talking about "abuses some cops commit." Are you deranged? You can respect what police do, and have to deal with on a day to day basis… while also expect them to adhere to standards and proper conduct. Those 2 ideas are mutually exclusive of one another.
I don’t hate police. I have a Police Chief in my family. But I do hate the abuses some cops commit.
Nope. I was responding to somebody’s specific nonsense. Not yours.A police officer on a lunch break is murdered. And here you are talking about "abuses some cops commit." Are you deranged?
What does #BlackLivesMatter have to do with this topic?#BlackLivesMatter , huh? Not when they're criminal. Not when they engage in senseless violence and murder innocent people.

Can you list all these "Cop Haters", KIA?Surprising that the cop haters aren't celebrating the news of a dead cop. Probably just another a-hole white cop anyway.

One less 'product of his environment ' deadbeat on the streets. Let the punk ass bitch rest in hell.At least this piece of shit is dead so we dont have to rehabilitate him
Unlikely, shot the police officer and tried to get his gun(failed) and then went outside and shot the driver of the Jeep he hijacked!I wonder if the cop was the actual target or was just there at the wrong place, wrong time, and the other person shot was the intended victim. Also, the auto body shop owner in Milton fired the killer four months earlier. Seems like the killer had specific targets in mind.
I just read that the killer tried to take the cop's gun after but was unable to due to the safety lock on the holster. It didn't say if the second victim was shot inside the Tims or as a result of a carjacking. It could be that the killer already had the stolen car and both victims were inside the Tims. More information will be released soon.Unlikely, shot the police officer and tried to get his gun(failed) and then went outside and shot the driver of the Jeep he hijacked!
