I don't think there is a monthly fee for pay as you go.
Time lasts for a year, so if you're not using it much you may not need to top it up much at all.
There is a monthly $1.25 fee for 911.

Minx agency can pick up you using TextMe app number and block you. Hence I need a a burner sim card/phone. I ended up using koodo prepaid sim card since it is cheapest and you can purchase load up voucher from various gas stations and retails.

7-11 speak out, prepaid talk and text. All in cash at the store and no CC required. You'll need an email I think when you set up the account to re-load, but having a private, your wyes only email address is always a good idea and easy to set up.

They all try to upsell you hard every place I go and then they often charge activation fee, some are willing to waive it. Seems like a lot of work and expense to go through Koodo these days. No easy, anonymous way to just buy a simpel prepaid card and easy activation.

Rogers/Fido is no good, as you have to go the store to buy the SIM and activate and they want your real ID for your Profile.
Lucky (which is Bell's Prepaid 3G service) I believe you can buy the SIM for cash at Dollarama. You buy the Top-Ups with cash at any Convienience Store or Gas Station.
