one of my biggest pet peeves is when women feel they can touch me without asking. as a man if I touched a woman on her body randomly without any type of relationship I would be a creeper.

I work with mostly women in my profession. I admit I get touched a lot, all innocent touching, arms, shoulders, the warmth of touching another human being. However, I am terrified to touch back. Its a fucked up world, men are powerless when accused, even a non-sexual touch, perceived uninvited can lead to a job loss.

For me, it depends. Touching my arm in a friendly manner or punching my shoulder when I'm teasing or anything along those lines is fine with people I've established a comfort with.
But I've also had a drunk colleague grab my crotch, so....

In any case, I think it's blown way out of proportion. I certainly didn't ruin her life in the way mine probably would have been if I had instead been the aggressor in that situation. It was stupid, entirely inappropriate, and I didn't appreciate it. She apologized later, and I let it go, because otherwise working with her has been great.

That is a form of sexual assault and she should be charged in my opinion. It is completely inappropate. Do not put your lips on someone without asking. Forget the fact that she could get a lot of guys in unneeded trouble.

Sexual assault is NOT a prank. Fucking dumb ass women really piss me off.

I like being touched by women. I dare not touch anyone at work however, but enjoy it when done to me.

Best experience - Had a women 10 years my senior from work at a happy hour 25 or so years ago grab my pecs and massage them up like a lady's boobs (was more athletic then, and work had more intellectual types so not many developed bodies lol). She said "sorry about that - always wanted to do that." I said "you can keep going...that was great." So i was sitting on a bar stool and she maneuvered behind me, put her arms around me, then she slid her right hand down my shirt and felt away...great pec massage lol. Meantime we chatted along with another guy about pathetic TV commercials like nothing was going on lol. Nowadays she would get fired if someone else saw it and was offended. I wasn't going to complain.

Charged by whom? The cops won’t do anything, it’s too much a waste of time and resources. “Victims “ won’t do it, its too stupid and time consuming to pursue.
Maybe you can get some social justice warriors to hunt down and shame this person out of a job.
The boundaries of sexual assault have been pushed to an absurd extreme. Why would any person want to punish someone over some of these boundary line transgressions.

most definitely when you have an established repour.

for some reason I find the chicks are offended at me when I say dont touch me. they have this odd look on their face of why would you say no, or some say I like it since Im not wigging out. the problem is that people lack an understanding of boundaries in both the work and the non working environment. just because one person doesnt mind being touched by another person doesnt mean another person will be accepting of it. it almost seems in order to establish firm boundaries that a trip HR is necessary since they apparently dont understand the meaning of no.

So you’re in favour of the criminal justice system punishing unsolicited innocent, non-sexual touching?

I'm not sure it qualifies as sexual assault but I don't want random strangers staining my shirt.
I spent a lot of time in bars in my youth and drunk people can do strange things. Her behavior seems weird and obnoxious but not exactly criminal. By the looks of it she should probably lay off the booze.

I remember a group photo at a social event once, one young lady , who was a sort of semi-acquaintance, was standing next to me, lining up for the photo, we were in the back row, we were both married, she deliberately turned a little sideways and pushed her boob into my arm, I moved a little and back it came.

I also had an administrative assistant that a few times would have to come over to my side of the desk to see something on my computer, again, this one pressed her boob into me.

I am a firm believer that women know where their own boobs are, so these things are not accidental.

God, some of the come-ons that I experienced in high school that I WAS TOO FUCKING DUMB TO EVEN RECOGNIZE!!!

North Americans have no concept of non sexual touching. It’s totally foreign to them. Europeans totally understand and embrace it.
