I'll believe it when I see it. The problem is there is not one group or set of leaders...
Why do you put this on a federal level when clearly it’s a municipal and provincial failure? The police took selfies with these morons while they were shitting on doorsteps. If Trudeau had at least one testicle, we would not be in that mess...
While there is plently of incompetence to go around, the OPS certainly has its share of the blame. They had a week that the trucks travelled across the country to get a plan together, it was no secret, it was all over main stream media. In 2011 the Vancouver police dealt with the hockey riots with the same notice, with only 900 police they put down the riot of 13000 people in 3 hours....that is how a police force should act. They are suppose to be protecting the citizens of Ottawa not taking selfies with protesters.Blame ought to be shared by both the federal, provincial and municipal governments as well as the various law-enforcement entities.
At it’s origins there was a massive intelligence failure on the part of the federal security establishment in analyzing, identifying and reporting on the risks. This should be unsettling for every Canadian.
It’s disingenuous for the feds to deflect criticism by claiming that the provincial government and the city of Ottawa are largely to blame.
I hope the lovely MAs and admin staff at Alpha and CMJ are safe and secure as the protest reaches a penultimate moment.
Both facilities seem to be open, a testament to courage, resilience, and dedication. When combined with intelligence and beauty, a formidable combination. Bravo ladies

Yes I'd like to visit 185 lyon st as well, without going through a police checkpoint...I hope the lovely MAs and admin staff at Alpha and CMJ are safe and secure as the protest reaches a penultimate moment.

disagree. Their demands are ridiculous once it ballooned from just the truckers requiring to be be vaxxed (which I think wasnt necessary at this point) Ending ALL mandates has no chance aside from gradual decreases from our numbers going down. If you look at world numbers as I do weekly - Canada is taking a good approach especially ON. Preventing use of our whole downtown area is an occupation - the human and financial cost to our city is massiveUnpopular opinion,
Disclaimer, I am not anti-vaxx nor anti-mandates. Our levels of government have failed us all. Canada is a democratic country, people should be permitted to demonstrate. The Ottawa demonstration was not an occupation, it was only labelled as such due to the mass of protesters. Had this been a very small group no one would have blinked. I do feel for businesses and downtown residents who were affected by the demonstration, but this is the nation's capital. I also understand that mandates are on a provincial level, but these people came from across our beautiful country to plea on a federal level. Random acts of violence occur whenever there are a mass of people, this was by and large a peaceful protest. It wasn't perfectly executed, but respect those who stand up for what they believe in, within reason. Today the world will see that Canada is no better than any other country. IMO, this should be a sad day for all Canadians.
Demonstration.... They should have stayed on the sidewalk in front of the parliament or walked the streets one day, like any other demonstration. Not stayed 3 weeks shutting down downtown, they make themselves not being a demonstration anymore.Unpopular opinion,

Hard disagree. These people are a scourge. They put their children and elderly in harms way deliberately. They party arm in arm with known racists and homophobes. They are not here to protest mandates or they would have gone straight to Queen's Park. They are here because they wanted to overthrow the Liberal government. They truly believed they would be able to bully the government into meeting them even though they have absolutely no right.Unpopular opinion,
